I had been wanting a doodle for a long time of Penelope and Kipa's character Piku for quite some time. Piku is an adorable little sleepy angel baby by nature, and I think that meshes SO well with Penelope ♥
One day I came to Kipa and basically said "Okay we've gone long enough without featuring the two of them together." and the idea kind of immediately fell into place. Them being adorable soft angel babies together. Sleepy was added, blankets were added, matching outfits were added, and yeah it was basically set in stone from that point :D
This is SUCH a cute scene ;_; I absolutely love that almost every single thing pictured here is super soft and cozy. Them napping together is just too cute! Look at how peaceful they are! I like imagining this is the aftermath of them playing, and they just hit a wall and were overcome by sudden naptime, explaining why there's so much random stuff strewn about! I love all the clutter in this, all the various toys and plushies hanging around :D
I really like how their hair looks in this, Penelope's fur especially. Kipa went hard on making this look really good and it shows so well ♥ These are real padding designs used, an alternate pattern to the pink Hello Kitty ones I have so much of a fondness for :3
