Well, I'd think the unborn is tf-ed into a hippo fetus or has its DNA structed for hippo birth instead of human.
But I'd be fascinated to hear Wallace's intepretation.

Hello Both,
DaTha7 is accurate with his interpretation. I envisioned that the unborn child was transformed into a hippo foetus within Cassandra as she was transformed into a hippo by the Zoo’s magic.
The reason she knew it was ok was because Cassandra could still feel their baby growing inside of her before she lost her memories of ever being human.
Charlie thinks the same after noticing Cassandra appeared much more round than him, also just before he lost his memories of ever being human.
If you have any more questions, please let me know.

Which gullible person next for the morphing block?
And will we ever the see the spirit directly?

Hello DukeDisappointed,
The next comic I’ve paid for is for the Seals (Brent + Mavis) from Season 1.
Yes, I intend for the Spirit to be eventually seen directly within the comics. I just have a few more stories I wish to prioritise adapting before doing so.

Hello Juha91,
I count Lily as a former human due to Cassandra being pregnant with her prior to her transformation into a Hippo.
Lily was essentially transformed alongside her parents. She just wasn't born yet and hence, unable to comprehend what was happening to her.
This makes her different to the other animal offspring such as the Big Cats (Kiara, Spot, Cinnamon, Luna, etc) who were born as a result of people turned animals mating which didn't apply to Charlie and Cassandra given Cassandra's pregnancy.
However, given that Lily had no real personality (Since she wasn't born yet), and was born as an animal, her personailty as a Hippo Calf would operate according to the 'Offspring Rule.'
This rule outlines that animal-born offspring have a somewhat heightened intelligence but to call it fully human would be a stretch as they cannot comprehend human concepts or behaviours.
This would place Lily on a similar intelligence level to the Cubs within the Feline Sanctuary as listed above.
I hope the above answers your question.
