"Hello..."

Lilo ventured into the pet shelter's cages and found them to be very barren oddly enough. It was almost as if they were cowering in a corner collectively. However, a hiss got her attention by way of sending shivers down her spin and made her look to the cage on her right. A giant python from India made her jaw drop not in fear but in awe. Lilo was a girl obsessed with the strange and creepy, two of many boxes that this snake ticked. She got closer to see if it really was that big.

Kaa had already taken a liking to Lilo the second he saw her. Her big nose, her wide eyes of innocence, her apparent apprehension. If their species were reversed, he would've adopted her in a heartbeat. However, that wasn't exactly necessary. His eyes began to glow in the dimly-lit area and produced a rhythm of colorful rings that flowed from his eyes. Kaa's hypnotic gaze would make even a mighty tiger succumb to him. All he needed was a fraction of its intensity to win over a little girl.

Lilo's awe gave way to mounting mesmerism when he looked into Kaa's eyes. Her pupils receded into the whites of her eyes before reflecting the glowing colors and tinting her vision with this radiance. It didn't take long for Lilo's lips to curl up into the goofiest grin a human being could make. She felt so at peace with herself just like when Mom and Dad were alive. What else could she do except... smile?

However, Kaa's hypnosis was still strong enough to overwhelm her just a bit and cause her to plop down on her bottom. Her flip-flops fell off in her abrupt sit-down and exposed her bare feet to Kaa's adoration. Now he knew that he had found the perfect pet for him. Kaa slithered his tail out through the fairly thin bars and wrapped three strong coils around Lilo for an affectionate hug. He then slithered a loop around her neck to dedicated choke her and limit her oxygen. His victims were always best susceptible to suggestion this way just to be safe.

"Sssssuch a sssssweet little pet you'll be," Kaa hissed in his gloating before reading Lilo's mind. "Yet sssssuch sssssadnesssss layssss in your heart." He thought it best to sweeten the deal. "Everybody sssssseesssss you asssss weird and trouble but not I." Kaa kept his eyes locked upon Lilo without blinking once. "You will never be alone oncccce you've become my pet." How he loved to puppet arrogant humans like the monkeys they truly were. "I only need to convinccccce that sssssissssster of your'ssss."
