This was a test run for some of the tricks and techniques I was playing with for the YCH's. Figured I'd get this posted as well. The background was just a rip from a quick google search, not hand drawn. Just needed something there for some testing.

I think the test is successful if you wanted to test a different colorization.
I have the impression that you have done a treatment on the image that gives the illusion that it is drawn, or at least that you have taken a layer and that you have redone over it.
Honestly, I love the idea and the application of your test... I hope to see more and more things like this.
Kiwi Punch could make a huge leap forward with this method. For the environments I mean. You wouldn't have to do everything by hand anymore.
With practice, I think it can become a habit for you and it would look too good !
I can't wait to see lots more art with this technique if you use it again =^.^=

Definitely helped doing this before I did those YCH that I finished up. Really fun techniques to use like softening the linework and color overlays. Kiwi punch won't really ever make use of this except for covers and other fun pics. I prefer the black and white look of comics.

Yes I was also thinking about the covers or special drawings like the presentation of the characters. It could be nice to show them in color because we see them in black and white in KP =)
