Zindee is in some trouble once again on the Dreamside (fantasy) region of the Mountainside of Port Aurora. She is a young Dreamside wizard, designated an Imaginator, and she is off hunting prey way up above the mapped and safer sides of the Mountain. This hunt has seemed to be circling around too tightly; along ways where she may not feel as stealthy as she wants to be.

I remember the middle tier panels reprinted, out of context, in some mainstream comics rag around 1987-8, an intriguing bit of underground-looking furry comix art that caught my eye and resonated with me right at the time I was about to socially connect with fandom.

Huh. I had forgotten that. Maybe it was an article about Anthropomorphic alternate comics that included some sample art from Rowerbrazzle apa? These pages were included in an apa-zine contribution.
IIRC the rag was Amazing Heroes, featured cover art by and an interview with Steve Gallacci, and a page about Rowrbrazzle illustrated with excerpts such as this.

Ribbit? Hey. Guess what I found while clearing out my closet? A box full of your miniatures cast in white metal, along with some battle weasels. Some bear a resemblance to the main character.
I did maybe 6 anthro 25 mm sculpts for a local sf convention at the time. It had a 'gaming' theme. One was an anthro cat. I'm glad there is a resemblance. (I certainly wasn't good at doing a smooth finish on the sculpting! I didn't have enough practice or technical learning.) I have found the art for a hand-out that shared short descriptions of the characters.
OMG, the Popular Psychology monsters! That weird stuff still raises its ugly head from time to time. My girlfriend, a real psychologist, hates it like it was a Baggins.
The Derraps are usually quite hungry, and so are have become very much into communicating with their gut bacteria. (Intestinal flora symbiosis with human mental & physical health was a magazine feature thing at that time.)
