Sally Acorn, Soft and Snuggly for the Snakes

I have to admit, I’ve never known much of anything about Sally Acorn besides her name and appearance. I never saw any of Sonic’s TV shows, and my exposure to the comics was limited to one issue, and it didn’t exactly clear up much. For the longest time, all I knew of the series was the games, and mainly just the Genesis ones. After doing research for this picture, though, I can see why she’s so popular; she’s honestly pretty cool! Hopefully I manage to do her justice!
It had been months since Eggman’s most recent defeat, and the mad doctor had yet to resurface. His fight with Sonic had left his base a collapsed ruin; the last the blue blur had seen of him was Eggman running for safety and getting cut off by rubble. Whether he was alive or not was anyone’s guess, but either way, the Freedom Fighters weren’t going to pass on the opportunity. With Eggman gone, they could hunt down the Egg Bosses; even if he returned, he’d have lost his field commanders.
The search had gone surprisingly well so far; some had been pretty easy to find (a bright yellow chinchilla practically frothing at the mouth with rage wasn’t exactly inconspicuous, even at her size), and some had paid unexpected dividends. Cassia and Clove had swapped sides on the condition Tails replace their implants with ones that couldn’t be remotely shut down, and that a doctor find a way to treat Cassia. Wendy’s defeat had freed the Witchcarters, who’d been more than happy to help out. The last Sally had seen, Tails was still working out the details of a device to ensure they couldn’t be controlled again; the big issue was whether to give it wireless capabilities. Getting updates on the device’s status and any necessary repairs would be nice, but no one wanted to risk Phage getting in…
Thankfully for Sally, those were headaches for another time. She’d gotten a report of a green cobra with mechanical limbs in the Mystic Ruins. Mordred Hood wasn’t exactly high-priority, but he was an Egg Boss all the same; you never knew when the supposedly harmless bad guy would decide to prove you’d underestimated them. And so, with most of the Freedom Fighters off on their own searches, and Nicole trying to help Tails come up with Phage countermeasures, the princess had taken it upon herself to hunt down Hood. Hopefully Big would be of help; he knew the Ruins better than anyone.
Of course, that would require she actually find the cat…
Sally had been wandering for hours without a soul in sight. No snakes, no big purple feline, no wildlife, nothing. She was starting to wonder how accurate that report was. When she thought of hiding places for a cowardly snob of a snake, a jungle wasn’t exactly at the top of the list; Hood seemed more the type to hole up in some abandoned castle or base, mind-controlled Mobians going in and out to serve the serpent. Though, that might be the point, picking a hideout they wouldn’t expect. The fact she couldn’t find anyone was a good sign that something was up…
Something scaly tapped her shoulder, and Sally whirled around, Ring Blades at the ready. She found herself facing a very startled snake, and for a moment, she thought she’d found Hood. But the colors were wrong, no limbs could be found, and he had no… well, hood. All she’d accomplished was freaking out a random snake. The squirrel-chipmunk sighed, withdrawing her weapons; sorry about that, she thought he was someone else.
(…Was this how Amy felt?)
The snake sighed in relief. It was nice to know he hadn’t earned her wrath, but should he be concerned with whoever had? Someone who warranted weaponry seemed worrying.
Sally explained why she was there, and the snake chuckled. He was wondering why that condescending cobra had limbs! He’d be more than happy to help the princess. His name was Kaa, by the way; lovely to meet her.
Sally smiled; it was nice to meet him too! They shook hand and tail, respectively, and Kaa led her deeper into the jungle. Eventually, they reached a crossroads, Kaa claiming it was the last place he’d seen Hood. Sadly, the other snake was nowhere to be seen, but it was at least something to go on. Sally turned to thank Kaa –
And found herself face to face with a rainbow-eyed snake.
Sally was caught off guard, her jaw falling slack as she stared into Kaa’s eyes. She knew she needed to look away, but she couldn’t think of why she would want to. The spirals were beautiful, sweeping up her thoughts and scattering them about, and the more she saw, the happier she felt. Every color had its own special shine, soothing the squirrel and filling her with warmth. The snake’s tail only added to her pleasure as it slid through her fur, every soft, scaly stroke sending shivers down her spine. Soon enough, she was coiled, loop after loop of the snake’s body compressing and caressing as Sally moaned in delight from the best massage she’d ever had.
The snake began to speak, and the squirrel soaked up every word. She heard how she could relax, how she could trust others to take care of things. How she had been good to look into the colors, and how it was only natural to reward a good squirrel. How she would be rewarded with relaxation, trusting Kaa to take care of her troubles, her thoughts, her free will. How a good squirrel was a soft, snuggly pet, eager to please their master. How she’d be loving and obedient, fulfilling his every need – food, protection, entertainment, anything – and how he’d love her in return, with cuddles, with coils, with colors.
Spirals in her eyes, a smile on her face, her tail twitching about behind her, Sally was in heaven. Of course she’d be Master’s pet! She’d do anything for him!
A loving squeeze from the coils, and with a PING! Sally broke into the goofiest of grins.
Kaa sighed happily as he stroked his squirrel’s cheek with his tail. She was a beautiful creature, one who’d make the sweetest of pets, the softest of dates. Temporary as it would be, it was always a delight to find that special servant…
Someone cleared their throat.
Kaa turned around to face the snake that stepped out into the open. Hood glared, tapping his foot impatiently. If he was quite done?
Kaa rolled his eyes. Yes, yes, he’d honor their agreement. He really needed to learn how to savor this.
It had been about a month ago that Hood had come running through the Mystic Ruins. A snake with limbs was a sight to behold, and so Kaa had tried to strike up a conversation. Tried being the key word; Hood had dismissed him as a “common python” unworthy of his presence and walked off. About a minute later, the cobra came running back, Big the Cat of all people in hot pursuit. As rude as Hood had been, Kaa thought he should do his fellow snake a favor. Big had been bizarrely resilient, but Kaa’s eyes kept him distracted long enough for Hood to make an escape, and eventually, he overcame the cat.
Later that night, when Kaa was about to rest, cuddling his kitty, Hood returned. Apparently, he’d tried to hypnotize Big himself to no avail; he was impressed Kaa had managed, and intrigued that some random snake had that ability. The two got to talking, and he heard Hood’s story: how he had been hiding out in an old base when he got word of a crazed chinchilla on a crusade. With her boss presumed dead, Thunderbolt was gathering his minions to avenge him, and she knew where they hid. Hood had fled, having no desire to return or contend with the crazy person in a heavily-armed robot.
The two snakes didn’t exactly become friends, but they reached an understanding all the same. If the Freedom Fighters were hunting Hood down, then that meant more cute pets for Kaa. Hood would hypnotize someone to deliver a report straight to Sally, saying he was seen fleeing into the Mystic Ruins. They’d already be stretched thin taking down the other Egg Bosses; whoever they sent, it wouldn’t be a large group. When Kaa got bored of his pets, he’d leave control to Hood, putting in triggers for either to activate; the snakes would share their servants.
And now, they had a precious, powerful princess for a pet.
The plans practically wrote themselves.
