not sure exactly where to put this... but as of 1900hrs, US Central Time last night. My long time companion, my partner in crime, my canine ally, Athena, passed away.

She had gone down while I was at work, and after she became fully unresponsive, I took her to the vet. They determined that an abdominal growth that she had been dealing with likely had smaller ones internally, and one may have ruptured, causing the condition.

She was not alone. Her pain was ended. She will be missed.
