Donatello defeats Leonardo in a sparring match!

In the sewers below the busy metropolis of New York City, the Ninja Turtles were relaxing within their hideout after the many defeats and humiliations they had suffered through. Leonardo and Raphael were unsurprisingly in an argument about the recent losses whilst Michelangelo was admiring the pizza he just ordered. On the other hand, Donatello was researching the past two opponents they had lost to: A shirtless wolf-and-tiger duo and a muscular red dragon. The former was part of a brawling organization and were just low-ranking goons, yet the duo easily overwhelmed the Turtles. The latter seemed to be from another world and used his resilient body to shrug off the Turtles’ attacks before humiliating them. As each of the Turtles were preoccupied, Master Splinter walked in and asked them to listen to what he had to say.

Having gotten the attention of his students, Master Splinter explained his next training regimen for them. He had taken note of the recent losses the Turtles had sustained and determined that they needed to improve on their teamwork to stand a chance. However, he felt each of them needed to practice their fighting skills and find their respective flaws before focusing on teamwork. Therefore, Splinter wanted for his students to undergo a series of one-on-one sparring matches. But there was a twist that intensifies their usual spars: You must knock out your opponent to be victorious. The Turtles were silent for a bit, looking at each other. Before leaving his students to start sparring, Splinter divided the Turtles into two pairs: Leonardo vs. Donatello and Raphael vs. Michelangelo. He told the former pair to go first while the latter should prepare themselves before it is their turn. As their sensei left, Leo walked towards the nearby training spot, eager to prove his skill in a serious knockout sparring match and readied his swords. Donny followed suit with his staff while Raph and Mikey stayed behind nearby. Mikey was relatively carefree about the situation and resumed his admiration for pizza, which slightly annoyed Raph who had taken this more seriously. Meanwhile, the first sparring match was about to begin.

Leo and Donny faced each other before readying their weapons. Leo smirked as he pointed his swords towards his brother, knowing he was stronger and faster than Donny. He was admittedly confident and made the first move, figuring that this sparring match would help prove his worth as a leader. Leo lunged forward but his attack was blocked and deflected by Donny’s staff. Then, he was quickly punished with straight kick to the stomach from Donny, which made him cough out in pain! Leo stumbled back, hunched over his gut, thinking to himself how Donny of all turtles was able to counter him so easily. It must have been a lucky hit, he thought. As Leo tried to return to the fight, Donny raised the end of his staff over his brother’s foot…and smashed it down onto his toes! Dropping his swords and grabbing his hurt foot, Leo jumped around in pain. “My toe! My toe!” he yelled repeatedly, not paying attention to Donny preparing to end the match. As soon as Leo looked up…Donny swung his staff like a bat and crashed it into the side of Leo’s head, shutting him up! The blue-bandanaed turtle went limp as he collapsed onto the floor, completely knocked out, still holding his hurt foot when downed. Donny grinned as he planted his foot onto Leo’s shell for his victory. The other two turtles witnessed the finishing blow and saw their leader defeated on the ground. Raph looked on with a satisfied smirk to have seen Leo humiliated while Mikey gave a thumbs-up to the victor as he joked about how quick the battle was. As both turtles grabbed their weapons to begin their match, Donny dragged the knocked-out Leo along the floor and next to the table. Donny relaxed on the couch and ate some pizza for his victory, watching the match between Raph and Mikey unfold. Meanwhile, Leo quietly panted on the ground from his punishment for his overconfidence to prove his leadership. It seems Leo still has a long way to go as he recovers for a rematch.
