Seems like Master Crane has decided to follow Po's advice to become the Dragon Warrior. But I think he went a bit too far into the weight training... if you catch my drift.
~~~~~~
Did you know that canonically, the origin story for Master Crane is that he used to work as a janitor at a temple, where he learned his signature moves. But when he wanted to be admitted as a formal student, he was turned down (and I quote) "due to his particularly skinny build".
I meaaaaaaan I'd like to see them turn him down now!! It's almost as if the writers were begging to see him put on some appropriate amount of weight.
And by appropriate I mean several hundred pounds at the very least.
I think Crane is my favourite character from the Kung Fu panda franchise. I'd be interested to hear what is yours.
I hope this will become a series of yours, drawing each of the Furious Five with this kind of transformation.
In terms of training to become the Dragon Warrior, a part of me feels it would've made more sense to have Tigress be the one who's fattened up since she's the one who seemed to be the true model choice for it before Oogway chose Po...!
Not that I'm complaining about seeing Master Crane put on some pounds, of course. Aside from Tigress, he's my personal favorite of the Furious Five; so seeing a post like this definitely makes my day! Good work! ^^
This piece is fantastic! And overall the Kung Fu Panda character designs are just so fun and memorable. Love seeing 'em
Looking at the comments, I see I'm not the only one who'd like to see you fatten up the rest of the Furious Five. There just isn't enough Kung Fu Panda weight gain art.
Ooh, well done sir! You've really captured Crane's 'essence' here. Brilliant work on his face, in particular! Thank you for sharing this with us. :)
I think they originally mean by having him develop some more muscles in his body.
My favorite Kung Fu Panda characters are Mei Mei and Po
Actually, you're not so far off. Crane is DEFINITELY my favorite character in the "Kung Fu Panda" movies; however, even more than those, I LOVE his appearances in the series "Kung Fu Panda: Legends Of Awesomeness", especially when he's voiced by Amir Talai!! You did a spectacular job with his fatty, but clean, body, although I wish I could see the back view with his bulging buttcheeks. Still, I love what you said in the description, since you really seem to understand his character like I do, except...I'm glad that Po and The Furious Five's other members haven't turned him down. Most of all, I loved seeing this post on Twitter (even though my Twitter account is suspended) because you said the fatty face rolls and his rotund chest and belly really show off his nervous, laid-back personality, if that's what you said. Thank you so much for posting this here, and if there's anything I can draw for you - extremely fat, but clean, muscular, bird-car, etc. - please let me know. I would be GLAD to make stuff for you (but mostly for the glory of God and Jesus Christ).
