I am so glad I met someone who is also a major fan of that scene.
I’ve loved that cloning scene for so long~ just imagining scenarios of so many other pokemon or characters going through those gooey pods ❤️❤️❤️
I seriously agree with everything you are saying as it is one of the best scenes in the movie.
The buildup of the science lab environment, the tensions of the clones coming alive and awake, the fluid animation of the tubes bulging and becoming gooey, and the slimy noises as they come out… so perfect~
Which version did you like more the US dub, or the japanese version? Cause I checked them both they both had different sfx, and stuff.
Honestly, both have their strengths~
The dub track does well to support the creepy atmosphere, with the slimy slurping more pronounced. The japanese track music can be slightly distracting, but the subtle squishing sounds allow the bubbling and churning of the fluids to be more pronounced. What I would give to have a clean HD rip of each sound layer from that scene ;v;

Exactly what I was thinking though from my memory I do recall a youtube channel SPECIFICALLY focused on that cloning scene I would have to find it again.

The gooey clone pods were so cool~ For sure they made me fall in love with all things gooey since then!
I keep trying to come up with something pithy, but honestly this is just a really cool and dynamic pic of that emergence.
First time I see someone doing something with those weird goopy pods!
