Luca certainly knows how to make an entrance, rolling straight into and through the town.
Sometimes I draw a rough sketch, and know pretty much immediately that I want to colour it. This was certainly the case for this one. I've drawn a whole bunch of sketches of Luca but never really managed to find out I really enjoy, but this one worked great, so it's nice to finally have a second full colour picture of her in the new attire.
Luca loves being a troublemaker, and causing a ruckus down town with those enormous rollerblades of hers, so it's always nice to see her just having a bit of fun rolling in and around and over the cities.

Yes more of this Beautiful 'cario gal! We haven't seen her in a while, and thats too long lol!
She's certainly a fun one. Wild and destructive, but doing everything in style!
Yeah, she causes all kinds of trouble with those 'blades of hers!
Lucarina's actually been around for a little bit longer than the Reyes sisters, but not by much.
My first drawing of Lucarina, was https://www.furaffinity.net/view/12245618/ which was posted on the 8th December 2013
All of the Reyes sister's first drawings came at the same time, which was half a year later in https://www.furaffinity.net/view/13780200/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/13787092/ and https://www.furaffinity.net/view/13796942/ around 21st June 2014.
Any similarities between the characters are unintentional, but I do certainly enjoy them all!

What exactly is your affiliation with VDO by the way? Because on his page it says he doesn't really allow other people to in his words "write/draw/commission art/stories" with his characters if you ask. Which kinda sucks cause I really like Izzy's design.
Amazing! You always do such a great job with all the small details in your art, makes everything feel much move alive and lived in, great job!
Thanks! It's the little things that make the big things feel big!
Luca's confident expression and body language really works well here. Fantastic work!
Such a troublemaker she can be ^^;
I continue to be impressed at the level of detail you throw into city pictures! Even with the reflections on some of the buildings of those BRIGHT GREEN wheels XD
(not sure I've said before, but I do really like those bright green accents on her)

Yeah, she's definitely a troublemaker! Thanks though, I do enjoy these city pictures but I couldn't do them every time.
And the bright green accents are fun. It's certainly a colour that stands out!

Really cool art with lot of small details and nice design for a nice looking girl.
I had quite some "not long at all" questions funneling on the implications of the bigger picture (eh, bigger), hoping it won't come off as killing the mood.
In lot of your arts the angles and the scales are so zoomed out than the playfull rampages of the girls offten look quite detached from whatever they just did. It' just "a city with big building" calling for being demolished without much afterthougts, it's too small to really consider the people who weree inside (not critisizing, just describing the vibe... kinda like a kid kicking a sandcastle )
Stumbled upon an art of your where you explained one of you OC recieved a divine boon wich apparently can nullify the damages done by the colossal presence of such individuals.
So I wonder if it's case by case among your OCs or pretty much everybody had such a safeguard ?
Because with that angle and details it's interesting, it doesn't look like a tiny city from afar or a celestial moving mountain. There is so much detailes in the building she casually ripped apart, many tiny furnitures laying among countless home half torn down...and then it click...thoses are someone's home or workplace, people live here, she definitively crushed to death and destroyed the places of who know how many people wich moment ago were living their life. Specially given her trail of destruction and th fact it's probably not her first time. (not judging just giving what is probably the POV of an inhabitant of this world )
So really wondering if ,as said previously, if she do thoses rampages for shits and gigles because it will be undone as if nothing happenned, or not and for someone of this word god is dead because their whole life could be crushed in an instant by a girl who consciously do that because it's apparently fun/cute/wholesome from her perspective.
Sorry if I missd a piece where all thoses detailswere clarified, or if this comment came as too serious and overthinking, I know in the end it's just a lighthearted "look BIG girl rampaging cities kaiju style ♥".

Thanks! I'm glad you like the art and the character.
I don't have any real interest in drawing doom or death or destruction or other words that start with the letter D. so it's very rare that I'll draw something ultra close up. The vibe I aim for is meant to be a lot more like a kid kicking a sandcastle as you say. I tend to lean towards leaving things deliberately vague, so that the people who want to just see it as light fun can, and also the folks who like to appreciate the more deadly force of nature type thing can do that also.
The picture you're probably thinking of is likely to be on of the early Reyes sister's pictures. (Either Elizabeth, Izzy, or Jeanine) which while I was involved in their designs and things, actually belong to VDO, not myself. I've not really done much to define how things get "fixed" up. For the same reason mentioned above, I've mostly opted not to define things. Scene transitions are a powerful tool. How did the city / planet get fixed up? I guess it just did. It's a similar question as to how Fang seems to stumble across the likes of Scareye and Onyx over and over. How does she keep finding the same snacks over and over? She just does. Is there a higher power or some plot device at play? It doesn't really matter. Think what you like; You could very easily argue that Tethys or Nubium have just intervened at every situation to prevent it happening at all. Or you could argue that the cities have just gotten really good at rebuilding. That's also fine.
But yeah. in short you were right with your last statement. There's nothing too deep to read into here! But at the same time art is for interpreting however you like to interpret it.

"I don't have any real interest in drawing doom or death or destruction or other words that start with the letter D. "
Death is indeed something conveniently overlooked, but pretty sure destruction is like half of your art XD (and always nice to see the tiny details put into it like ocean water starting to fill holes or the clutter of junks and debris tossed around during smaller macro growth... )
And totally get the fundamental abscence of clear canonality and explaination in your art, an hypothetical scenario wich might or not have happenned. Just than I can't help but think about the discrepancy between how cute and carefree they look vs their apocalyptic action from the point of view of a regular dude who had to endure their presence. Not sure "OwO what a cute huge troublesome girl" would be their first thought when spoting the titan who flattenned 3 time their country.
If we take Erika it's coherant, she's act like that very negligeant undisciplined brat who just like to wreck havoc because she can to do whatever she want. And as far as I've understood, she's a space faring being who go to other planet to smash stuff and is by default cosmic sized. So it would be kinda like judging a man who stomped an ant hill on a park he visited.
But for Lucarina and several other, from what I understand, her actual height start as normal sized and so sound she live there, so it would be more kind to an ant of the colony becoming human sized, smash the hill, then shrink back and expect other ants act as if nothing happenned.
She like to do roler derby? I'm not sure anyone would welcome at the derby the being who ravaged half of the city (or any other city) last week.... or anywhere actually.....or people are too frightened of potential retaliation, wich shift her from a troublemaker to a tyrant. And yes we can shrug off the canonality of X destruction never having really happenned, but since this is a defining trait of her, she must had done some unspecified canonical rampaging at some point.
That's kinda what I interpret if we don't go the magical route of "somehow no damage was actually done" ^^' (Not critisizing, it's my own kind of fun to read probably deeper than someone's own intents )
