After taking a day's break from whatever that was I had witnessed, which I am still not sure of. I decided to go to another path that would take me to some field not far from base camp. And man the place I have seen looks pretty nice with so many plants everywhere.

I eventually came to a field in which different colored flowers grew and a small stream was near. Went ahead and take the time to go looking around and see what all I could sketch. The plants were decent but they looked like common ones and I was here to find them "interesting".

I continued walking around and enjoying the random warm wind blowing. I soon heard a noise nearby. Not something that was loud but more like a rustling of some leaves of a plant nearby. Taking this as a sign that something was making its way towards me. I would try and find a decent hiding spot to where it couldn't see me easily but I can still get a good view. (So a tree branch might do).

It's been some time since I last climb one but I manage to get up a branch that looked like it could hold me. And so I would get into position and wait. And after a few minutes, it would make its appearance. A small creature, I want to say about the size of a small to a medium-sized dog (course my "bad" guessing was due to me up a branch and not having a god look at the angle I was looking at)

The creature looked like a mix of other animals I've seen before but this thing was something. It kinda looked like a kangaroo, since it also was carrying a young one in a pouch, but yet at the same time, not. It would take its time eating some berries at a nearby bush and so I quickly went ahead and made a sketch of it. Of course, I wanted to add a few more things but my pencil ended up slipping from my hand and falling to the ground... Maybe it didn't hear it?

Nevermind. I guess it did see me. Whelp at least it seemed harmless, unlike the last strange animal... creature.. Guess it's time to head back to camp and see what the next day has for me.
