The Silver Clan takes in any pony who shows great loyalty and use to them.
For an outsider Madam Silhouette is rather respected by the Clan for her strong sense of loyalty and singleminded focus of being of service.
Official archivist of the Clan's archives and library, she knows secrets usually not meant for the knowledge of any outsider. And she'll never tell a soul except the Clan members of the right rank and classification.
Her melanism makes her coat, skin, mane, even eyes completely black from overproduction of melanin in her body. After receiving the Lunar Touch she has become completely nocturnal and prefers the complete darkness of the depth of the archives she works in. Only lits any light for those visiting that needs it to get around.
She is not very socially and only speaks in terms of answering simple questions or when receiving requests for certain books and tomes under her care.
She rather not socialize if she can avoid it. If taken out of her dark realm of the archive she locks and go mute, refusing to adjust to the outside and its ponies. She lives to serve and read, she doesn't want anything else.
Yet somehow ended up mentor for Moon Blossom, who does not mind the mare's inability to properly socialize, assured she'll find a way to get her out of her shell one day.
