High ranking member of the Silver Clan, first in line for leadership should anything happen to the current Patriarch of the Clan, Silver Stitches isn't a popular mare.
Although officially torture is illegal in Equestria, it didn't stop the Silver Clan from assigning their own Inquisitor.
Her name used to be Silver Strings, her talent the great harp. But once you are assigned a destiny by your Clan, you must follow it. And over time ponies began calling her Stitches instead.
Her job not just to torture information out of poor souls, but also use her methods to 'train' young agents of the Clan to learn to take pain and not spill any of the Clan's own secrets to any enemies they might be captured by.
She's used as a necessary evil, but not liked for it one bit, even if it isn't her own choice.
Stitches makes through this kind of living, with a shield of denial by always acting cheerful and polite. She has not one evil bone in her, she is no sadist, just a bit disconnected to handle the fact her job is to cause pain and be hated for doing her duty forced upon her.
