Alola! This art piece was drawn by Angel9bits on Twitter of Shadow who spent his Christmas vacation in Hawaii (or possibly Alola, hmmm?) with Terrance and Vex! While on vacation, he picked up a bit of a souvenir. A souvenir that has incredible powers. A Z-Power Ring....

Shadow laid back against his beach chair, feeling the hot, warm sun of Alola and windy breeze on his face. He took a sip from his fruit punch drink. He wore a blue Hawaiian shirt and floral shorts and wore black flip flops. Terrance was down at the beach, making a sand castle with Vex. He wore a red Hawaiian shirt and yellow shorts with pineapples all over them. Vex wore a white T-shirt with a shark on it and black swimming shorts with blue leaves all over them. Shadow's eyes were closed and he let out a relaxed sigh. "We should vacation here for Christmas every year..." He said with pure calmness. He looked up to see Vex smiling and laughing as he gathered sand for his sand castle with Vex. The 6-year old hyena waved at his father, causing him to smile and wave back. He noticed Vex soon picked up something and looked a bit confused. Before he knew it, Vex and Terrance were walking up to him.

"Dad, look at what I found!" Vex said with excitement. He held out his paw in front of Shadow. In his hand was a black stone. It had a white arrow pointing up and a mysterious emblem in a Z like shape. "What is that, Vexy?" Shadow asked. Vex shrugged his shoulders. "We don't know...but we found it in the sand over there." Terrance chimed in. "Vex thought we could keep it as a souvenir." Shadow nodded his head. "Guess we can. You having fun on your vacation, kiddo?" Shadow replied. Vex's tail was wagging back and forth. "Yeah! I love it here! I wanna come here for Christmas every year!" He cried out with excitement. Shadow chuckled and ruffled his son's hair. "Why every Christmas? We can come here every summer too!" Shadow laughed. Vex suddenly burst with happiness. "Ohmigosh, can we, Dad? Can we come here every summer too? Pleeease?" This reaction earned another smile from Shadow. "Well..if it's alright with Terry." He answered. "Sure, baby. If it makes you and Vexy happy." Terrance agreed. Vex laughed and hugged Shadow close. "I love you, Daddy!" He said. Shadow hugged his son back, smiling again. "Love you two, little buddy. Now let's say we all go get some lunch, yeah?"

Shadow rose up from his chair and he and his family all walked towards the city. Suddenly, out of nowhere, something was glowing in Vex's paw. "Uh...Dad?" Vex spoke. Shadow and Terrance both turned around. The stone in Vex's paw was glowing with yellow light. "What's going on with that stone?" Terrance asked. "I...I don't know!" Vex responded. The light suddenly faded to reveal it had turned into a black bracelet. It floated towards Shadow and fastened itself around his wrist. "What...is this?" Shadow said, confused. Something suddenly swooped past the three. Shadow looked up to see a mysterious creature hovering over them. It had a black body and an orange tail. On it's head was an orange and yellow spiky looking hair. It had blue eyes and all these markings on its face and on either side of it were these two odd looking shells that almost looked like that of a bird. "Koko-koooo!" the creature cried out before flying away in a jolt of yellow electricity.

"Was that...a Pokémon?" Shadow pondered. "Babe, the bracelet!" Terrance said. Shadow looked at the bracelet to see a yellow crystal with a black lightning bolt symbol in the middle of it was resting in place in the center of the bracelet. Shadow's mouth hung halfway open. "We're not in Hawaii...we're in Alola!" He said with surprise. Vex's tail was wagging again. "Alola?! Ohmigosh, can we catch a Pokémon, Dad?! Please?" Vex said, bursting with excitement again. Shadow stood back a bit. "This is so much to take in..it's all so surprising!" He said with a bit of enjoyment in his voice. Shadow looked up and noticed a Pokémon on the beach. It was an orange mouse with blue eyes and yellow ears, and it had a thunderbolt-looking tail that it seemed to be standing on like a surfboard. An Alolan Raichu.

"Think we should catch it, Terry?" Shadow asked his otter husband. "Well..we've never talked about having a pet before. But I think we should!" Terrance replied with enthusiasm. Shadow reached into his pocket and pulled out a Quick Ball. "Here goes nothing!" Shadow cried out as he threw the ball at Raichu. The ball opened up and Raichu went inside it quickly. Shadow watched with a bit of stress as the ball shook for a few moments before letting out a loud ping. Shadow had caught Raichu! "Dad...you caught it!" Vex said with happiness. Shadow sighed with relief and picked up the Quick Ball. "Time to introduce you to the family, Raichu!" He said before throwing the ball, letting Raichu out. Vex ran over to it, waving at it. "Hi, Raichu! My name is Vex!" He greeted. "Chu!" It responded, smiling at Vex. "You're gonna make a great addition to the family, Raichu! Haha!" Shadow laughed.
