Manzanita Coyote, chopping wood in a chestnut wood. It was my first crosshatch commission, and it was a pleasure, shading the many tones on a yote fur. Thanks Manzanita! (MoonshineFalling on FA)

Very nice shading and textures. Chopping firewood is something I've always enjoyed in the fall. Is chestnut wood aromatic? We don't have any growing in our area but pear and sassafras both make the house smell wonderful.
I've never owned a stove that burned wood blocks, when we lived in the countryside we owned one with pellets; but i often smell fires coming from the farms in the woods around here, that are mostly chestnut and cherry trees, and it's very pleasant.
This really turned out lovely, the shading style worked out nicely! Great expression work.
Wow this is SO GOOD. I might have to commission you for a crosshatch because it's an absolutely beautiful look for your work and styles. Major kudos.
Hmmm. I may have to hire my local coyote to help clean up the last of the leafs in my yard.
