After a horrible nightmare, it's only a kind soul who can console his lover.

I wrote this as a vent piece due to some internal struggles I've had over the past day.

"NO! PLEASE COME BACK! I NEED YOU! PLEEAAASE! NOOOO!!!"

"Jake, What's Wrong?!"

Jake woke with a start, panting. It took a bit for the aqua-blue Buizel to realize that he was back in his bedroom, he looked to where the voice that woke him came from. There was his Pikachu boyfriend, Cobalt, with a look of utmost worry on his face. "What's wrong?" he asked again. Jake didn't answer, he instead tackled Cobalt in a hug, holding him tight. Cobalt let out an "Oof!" at the impact, but said nothing, letting the Buizel hug him tightly.

After a few minutes, Cobalt spoke up again. "What happened?" he asked. Jake let go of Cobalt at last and scooted back a bit to face him. After a few deep breaths, he spoke. "I... I lost you..." he said quietly. Cobalt was confused "What do you mean?" he asked. Jake said nothing for a while, before answering.

"We were out on the beach, alone, just enjoying each other's company. Then the beach disappeared, leaving us in a black void. then you seemed to be grabbed by something, like an invisible claw, and you were dragged away. I chased after you, but I couldn't keep up. I eventually lost sight of you."

Cobalt listened carefully. "I thought I'd lost you... forever..." Jake finally broke down, hugging the blue Pikachu tightly and sobbing into his chest. Cobalt wrapped his arms around the smaller Buizel, and began rocking him gently. "Shhhh... It's ok." he said softly "It was all just a bad dream." Jake's sobs were reduced to silent tears and the occasional sniffle. His red eyes looked up to his boyfriend's. "I'm still here." Cobalt said with a soft, yet warm smile.

Jake was still doubtful. "You were snatched from me in an instant, I thought I'd never see you again, it was all out of my control..." he said, tears flowing down his cheeks. Cobalt held Jake to him "It was all a bad dream." he repeated "I'm not going anywhere.". Jake looked up at the Pikachu again "Really?". "Yes." Cobalt answered "I'm staying right here with you, nothing will separate us. I promise." he said.

The two hugged for a long while, neither wanting to let go, especially Jake. Cobalt continued rocking his Buizel lover gently. eventually he stopped and looked down at him. "Do you feel better?" he asked. Jake looked up, and gave a small smile. "Yes..." he answered. "that's good." replied Cobalt, before laying down gently. Jake did the same, laying his head on Cobalt's pot belly. "I hope you sleep well for the rest of the night." said Cobalt. "Me too." Jake answered. he said nothing for a few seconds before speaking again. "Cobalt?" "Yes?" the Pikachu answered. "I love you." Jake said. Cobalt smiled "I love you too." he replied. "Goodnight." he added. "Goodnight." Jake said.

The two soon drifted off, The rising and falling of Cobalt's belly lulling Jake to sleep. Jake was very grateful to have such a caring and loving Boyfriend like Cobalt, as was Cobalt with Jake. Nothing would ever be able to separate them.
