The story follows this octo-version of Ame, who is perhaps similar to the size of a giant pacific octopus, and a seahorse-mermaid version of Amaranth, who is.. much much smaller. >:}

Back in May, Fydbac had a MerMay sale going on, wherein a client would provide a character and Fydbac would simply let inspiration take hold, to see what came to mind.
Just as I hoped, my naga, Amethystine, led to an octopus! (It helped that I had previously been seen gushing over a previous octo-design by Fydbac >___> )

Every octopus, squid, kraken is pure esthetic when they move. Land and Water
I like this version of you a lot, it's a very tough choice between octo-Amethystine and naga Amethystine :P
The original will always be the best, but this is a fun side feature to have and to utilize, now and then. :}===<

I'm surprised there aren't more octopus fursonas after seeing this. Love the yellow aura too.
I think there should be more aquatic anthro 'sonas in general! I think people believe being totally underwater would limit them / not allow their characters to interact as much with all the other 'sonas that are land-dwellers.
But really, we just need more people to have aquatic characters, so there's more of a community on that side of things.

True, but it makes interactions between two worlds all the more interesting; imagine meeting someone from the depths of the ocean, a world unknown to us.
