"Nobody knows what really happened. Only stories from deviants and the truly insane survived long enough, and whoever could describe it did so in lost or broken languages. They describe the ascension of a mortal who revered nature, Gaia's last worshiper who amassed power from the faith of others and Her own talent."
"The nature acolyte was steadfast in Her beliefs and always chose the safety of the world over anything else. Her god was dying due to the corruption of Her lands and nothing could save Her current vessel. Reunited with Her divine god’s shell She chose to fuse with the weakened husk of the one who was once was an almighty goddess, restoring all Her might in a new vessel and eradicating the all-consuming evil that plagued our world."
"They say that this avenged Her people, and many others who were lost in the worming devil’s wake. But vengeance wasn't Her goal: Such a feat could never be achieved with hatred.”
"We can only hope She shows us mercy during these times and that we manage to live in balance and harmony in nature’s bounty. Under the watch of the Twin Moon Goddess.”
During a Dungeons and Dragons session, ratafari imagined a future where Joxiris ascended and destroyed the great evil plaguing the land. Like any newly ascended goddess, she needs to discover the limits of her power. Do stars taste good and burn your mouth? Please, let's not repeat any previous incidents.

Stars, moons, planets with molten cores, they're all pretty hot I'd say.
You're guilty of more than that. Making me a foot fetishist for one.
Your punishment: Keep drawing! Forever!

this is actually such a cool idea and ratafari did such a gorgeous job on the mood! i can’t wait to hear more about your dnd stuff and joxiris, and macro Dragonborns are just amazing! hopefully eating a star won’t burn her since she’d be speedrunning her position as a god
Thank you very much! I would love to properly write about Joxiris someday and post something here about one of her adventures. Luckily, I'm keeping notes about each session we play so I have a backlog of what has happened.
Speaking of speedrunning godhood...
"Once we've taken over the shell of a dead god we can use its power to consume more raw mass and energy to get stronger. But first, we need to talk about parallel universes..."

honestly i just think dnd stuff is pretty darn neat! if you ever want to publish stuff here, i’d absolutely be down to read it!
oh god there’s going to be a LOT of complications with parallel universes and multiverse theory isn’t there 😂

Cold and pale on the outside like a moon.
Warm and soft on the inside, like a moon? I've never eaten a moon before.

It's probably like a really chalky jawbreaker on the outside and a gusher on the inside. But it's one of those gushers that's been left out for too long and the juices have dried up some so the flavor's lost some of its zing.
