In collaboration with a good friend of mine in the community, I’ve been blessed with the prestigious honor of being a story artist, character designer, and artist for an out-of-this-world project he’s been working on in hopes to be an animated movie. To put it simply, it’s about a young boy with dad issues who finds himself in another world after a night in the woods, and while discovering the bewildering reality outside of his home he finds a fatherly bond he hoped for with a big blue dragon who is also the city’s well-renowned chef. The script has already been approved and highlighted for national and international film festivals alike. I’ve not only dreamed of drawing out and bringing my own stories to life, but I’ve also admired the thought of being on board with other imaginative artists like myself who share my passions of making these kinds of productions. After reading the script and knowing the kind of work Michael does, it’s a really good tale not only worth sharing but experiencing from start to glorious finish. 🐉
