Alien monsters are one thing, but any sci-fi setting worth its salt has got to have some aggressive machinery standing in your way. And we've got machines-aplenty.
(starting from the top and going clockwise:
- Excavation robot (aka Spider-Crab-Murderbot) is an autonomous device that crawls across the porous, mineral-rich exterior of Zheng Shi, harvesting the asteroid as needed and disposing of space-walking trespassers. It's quite huge and because it can only be fought in the vacuum of space, you're going to have to give up your best armor for a space suit if you want to tangle.
- The Ramshackle Power Armor is an exo-suit specially assembled for Roz, the galotian mercenary. Although not a true robot, this suit is deceptively patchwork. Though assembled on the fly, it's outfitted with some incredibly heavy weapons and armor, leaving its pilot practically impervious to small arms though it's exceptionally cumbersome and difficult to maneuver.
- Rocket Pods are micro missile launchers that can be redeployed on the fly, allowing their users to reinforce otherwise indefensible positions with surprisingly heavy artillery support. They're simple devices, though, and what they have in logistics, they lack in intelligence and security. Intended to hold down invading forces, a sufficiently talented sneak can pass right by them without alerting the simple machines. Likewise, a hacker with a deathwish might be able to shut them down remotely before being reduced to a grease stain.
- One of the strangest machines in the line up, the Taur Suit is a Dr. Po original. Semi-autonomous, the machine looks like the lower half of a robot horse, its backside filled with tendrils. If it encounters an intruder, it will do its very best to get the inside it, where Po's doll-making expertise will result in a cybernetic fusion of man and machine to produce a Synth-Taur. If that's your bag, then enjoy! If not, best to keep these sentries at a good distance!
- Akkadi Security bots are generally deployed only in high-security outposts. The R&D tech firm takes privacy very seriously, and uses these quadrupedal, blast-shielded droids to stomp out the threat of industrial sabotage or intellectual property theft. They're cute little fellas, with their counter-weight tails a-waggin', but that laser barrel will track you no matter where you go, so best to not let them get a target lock if you're somewhere you shouldn't be.
- Mining Robots are a typical, industrial sight in the regions of space where valuable minerals and ores have to be harvested autonomously. You might encounter some of these deep in Mhen'ga or others that have been stolen by Space Pirates to help hollow out their asteroid base. Some users equip them with advanced weapon systems, but even the 'unarmoed' versions pose a tremendous threat with their mining lasers, rock-crushing grip, and carbine drill. On the plus side, they also act as mineral transports, so if you DO happen to take one down, there's a good chance it'll have some goodies inside for your efforts.

Do I see some The Black Hole influences on the mining robots? strong Maximilian vibes.
