Vorac, being a terrible conversationalist, is lucky that the most dangerous character in this story is also the most patient and friendly one.
By the way, Senanca has this mini kitchen in his office because sometimes he's too much of a workoholic to use the actual break room on another floor, unless he means to see his staff. He usually gets himself something to drink, then goes right back to his working desk with it. Luckily, he doesn't install toilets in his office while he's at it.
Also, please ignore how bad I am at drawing perspective in general.
Also also, Vorac can perfectly drink a glass of water with his beak because troll physics.

Oh no, the small lines at the bottom are actually just for "today's date" and "signature". xD I used a real form for reference.
It's just an information form, not a contract. No dangers here.

Yeah the beak thing makes me laugh when people get uppity about such things. It's not hard to imagine a 'soft beak' Donald and Daffy Duck did it for ages. ^^ Just picture a mouth with a shell surrounding it, with just enough give to function as both beak and lips when necessary. :3
Also always check the pen to make sure it doesn't have a tiny thorn or needle about midway down its length, that's to stick one of your fingers on so it can use the blood for the ink.

Haha, I can't help it, I'm a perfectionist about such things. xD But sometimes I am too lazy to come up with "realistic" solutions when I make my comics.
Wow, the blood pen thing is actually very creative! This would be perfect for a Gothic or vampire story theme. But no, there is nothing unusual about Senanca's fancy business pen here... other than that it cost like $150 maybe.

The pen thing came from a D&D campaign I DMed ages ago. Heh. Part of the whole shtick was that with the pen anyone could write their own contract on any surface and so long as the payment met just slightly more than the request it would be granted without fail. It was like having a Genie with unlimited wishes practically.
But of course with the usual twisting wording and logic that tends to come with such things.
Want a sandwich because you're starving and you do have the money for it but are to far away from anywhere to spend it on? Sure! Though it will be your least favorite sandwich and be a little bit stale but hey emergencies.
Oh so now you want your main weapon enchanted and have all the necessary materials to do so yourself but don't know where you could find the necessary lab to do it properly for a guaranteed result? Of course, zap, enjoy your thunder sword! Don't mind how anyone holding it is perpetually soaked like they've been in the rain that just gives you a little protection to fire.
Ah so now you want to resurrect an important NPC that was taken down before you could save them? Tsk tsk tsk, if only you were quicker to help. Please ignore how the NPC's shadow is now significantly larger than the lightning should have permitted or how it now somehow has eye holes and a big creepy grin. I'm just a magic wish granting pen!
It took them three whole sets of characters before they finally decided to destroy the pen. But the only way to do that was by having a Half-Fiend Vampire who hadn't drank any blood for a month use it by dipping it into holy water to write out a contract pledging himself to eternal service to a Good Deity.
Sorry for long response, I get chatty sometimes.

It was a massive constant temptation though and clearly evil, they were.....if memory serves, hoping for some sort of semi-equal reward for destroying so dangerous an item. I think....I threw them a bone of some kind. Something about a fortress all their own but they still had to fix it up but so long as they claimed it nothing 'mundane' could take it away from them, so perfect home base for a by then higher level party who wouldn't want to have to deal with early level enemies anyway. :3
Haha, thank you! Means a lot to hear the dialog makes a good impression. :)
Hmmm....why am I on my guard? It's weird, maybe because I know* Senanca is not a nice guy. I'm wondering how this page comes across to readers who don't know about who Senanca really is underneath the mask of charm.
* I'm being presumptuous, because all I know of Senanca is what you've said outside of the comic.

Don't worry about it. :) It only makes sense~
Thanks for your comment though! I love reading comments on my comic.

I mean, if you had him drink like a normal bird, it would have looked like he had no manners xD
I looked through some of the older version's pages on DA, you definitely improved a heck of a lot since then, you also seem to have cut some of the dialog, it was a good move because it moves along the story better and still keeps some things a bit more of a mystery I guess you could say...
A good "villain" to me is someone you can understand their motives and respect their actions even if you don't agree with them and when they are this calm and polite, that blurs the line a bit more, am kinda getting Pagan Min (Far Cry 4) vibes from him, very chill and professional but watch the pen when you get on his bad side (or in his case, claws) xD

Haha, now I can't get this image out of my head, how awkward it would be if Vorac drank like a real bird. Or if Senanca drank like a real cat, for that matter. Just this big old mafia boss going "mlem mlem mlem mlem" over a cup of water, lol.
I am so happy to hear you noticed the dialog change from the old version! :)
To be honest, the old version makes me cringe now that so much time has passed. It's like looking at drawings/stories you made as a child and thinking "Damn, this is so full of flaws, how could I not notice back then?" I changed so many dialogs and scenes for this reboot. Very few things stayed about the same.
I love good villains, always have. I think this eventually inspired me to make this story that simply has no heroes in it that save the day. x)
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! You made my day~ <3

LMAO "mlem mlem" xD
And that's okay, there are plenty of things that made me cringe about my youth as well, incl. some ideas I originally had for my main OC x3
That makes perfect sense to me, I've also always liked the concept of "remove the main villain from the equation and it bring something far worse to the party"
You are very welcome, I look forward seeing where the story leads and if you want, hit me up sometimes if you ever wanna talk more about it ;D

NEW PAGE!!! Hmm, Senanca's being very patient and kind to a total stranger. What's his hidden agenda here? Those red eyes give me pause.....
Haha, thanks! Senanca was inspired by cornish rex cats, and they appear to have big ears. x) Though I'm not sure if it only seems that way because of their short fur, or if they are actually bigger than other cats' ears.
You're welcome! I'm not sure, but either way they appear similar in size to the ears of oriental short-hair cats.
np - you've got an interesting comic going here. And thanks for the favs btw :p
I wish It were so easy to find a job IRL haha the dude seems waaaay too kind to be real xD
I saw this comic just now in an ad, overall with it being a brief 5 pages I'm still interested in it... I do wonder what has held up new pages for 3 months but at the same time I have no idea how long it takes to make comics like this one... Still interested in how this will go if it continues ^^
Thank you, I'm happy to hear you're still interested in this!
What held up new pages for months was a mental breakdown, real life stuff. Also, last December when managed to finish half of the next page, my computer crashed and I lost all progress. And then I was honestly salty for a while. Haha.
But I started working on the page again! I want to finish it and get regular updates again.

Oh? I'm sorry to hear about the mental breakdown, it's good to hear you're feeling good enough to start working on this stuff again. I appreciate the reply and am excited to see where the comic goes. I hope you have a great day and your comic comes out how you'd like it ^^
Interesting what the discription says. I would expect Senanca to be way more dangerous than Vorac, since he has clearly a lot of experience with live and business.
And what is his deal? I wouldn't hire someone who just step into my office out of no where?

Senanca only wants to give him a chance because Marvin suggested it, that is all.
Marvin and Senanca have a special relationship both in family and business.

So, now I really want to make a fanart xd
It's so wonderful, I'm really looking forward to continuing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh wow, fanart would be awesome! ;_; I love and appreciate those.
And thank you! I wanna try and finish the next page by 2 weeks or sooner.
