Ophira: "Why yes this is easy, but I have an unfair advantage as I do not have bones~
So yes THAT pose. Why would I draw the current fad pose? It's an excuse to experiment with poses as I know poses are my MAJOR weakness.
I also used this to further experiment with shading/highlights in Paint.net, I am VERY satisfied with the results. =O
Comments would be appreciated

I think that with this picture you have really evolved in the shading stuff. I like that you set two light sources, one at the bottom that is slightly seen and another one coming from the top.
I'm a little more so mimicking the kind of lighting like with R-MK:

I see. Yeah, I tend to influence my shading style by the lighting that other artists do, so I do recommend doing so.
Yeah, since I have NO formal training I have to learn by example. Self taught yo. =P
I love seeing your artwork. I see a lot of improvements over the years
Thank you. =3 Granted now it's learning a new art program so mainly the shading and line quality will improve. The base quality may remain the same since I have obvious skill limits. =P
I've only known you for a little over a year now, and you've improved your shading by leaps and bounds! This might be my new favorite image of yours!
It's more so getting used to Paint.net as I was still using MS-Paint up until 9 months ago.
But that said thank you very much. I knew I wanted to try some "better" shading here and I tried what I could think of.
Gotta love how I don't have a drawing tablet and can still do this. =P

I have no idea. A character in Guilty Gear does the pose, someone somewhere on the internet decided to make it into a pose challenge for artists and people blindly follow those challenges.
*shrugs*Flavor of the the week I suppose. In that case why not make it Bowsette doing the pose, doing a dab, and eating both cinnamon and a tide pod all at the same time.
Well the difference here is I kind of like the pose. =P
I only draw things I like, so if I didn't like this pose I wouldn't have drawn it. =P

Certainly no harm in personally liking something. I was just making a joke about how when something is suddenly popular nearly every creator uses it for inspiration. Unfortunately something fun or humorous can wear out the welcome rather quickly if you see it everywhere
Very true.
For me though it was a little more for pose experimentation rather than specifically trend following because I don't care about trends.
