It has good light and dark contrast. Almost has a thriller/suspense feeling to the atmosphere.
I really love the slight shading in the background that shows fog, it really adds another layer of hidden suspense.
very good work
but that bunny got something a bit scary lol

I don't like the bunny. It looks like it's hiding something. Kinda reminds be of Bunicula....I think that's how it's spelled.
He's waiting for us to leave so he can siphon the tank.
Bunnies do that. *sage nod* ^^

lol...
"Stupid car. I need something to distract from you... ooh, a bunny! *doodledoodle*"
That'd be my way of dealing with it...
Then again, I'd never be able to draw a car as well as you do. :P

I'm trying to find someone that can draw realistic looking cars that can still draw gay yiff (or will even consider drawing it). And I'm having a hard time. Plenty of people can draw cars but it seems that artists who are really good at drawing anthros have a hard time with cars.
I love your art though...

It requires really heavy and very formal perspective work, french curves etc. to do: they're such constructed objects that you can't really do them freehand. It looks like Rukis did AMAZINGLY for freehand, but the constructed nature of the thing will always come bite you.
I call it a successful painting because it's not really about the car, it's about the mood, and it doesn't hurt that to have the car a bit freehand. (it would be kinda crazy to call it anything else, look at it!)
The lighting on the trees is fantastic, the fog is fantastic. Not everything requires object rendering like Syd Mead :)

Ummm are you open for a little bit of constructive criticism Rukis?

Man I hear you... anything mechanical has so many smooth... strait or gently curving lines... meh.
I have to say though, you did a nice job on this one! ^.^

"bunny" staring jack nickolson driving in upstate NY a book publisher comes across the moment that changes his life
Nice job on that car! It's funny that cars are so difficult to draw, because they are basically fancy boxes.
Just... Woww.... love the colours and the misty / foggy effects with the light shining through... Awesome work! Keep it up :)
Yeah, drawing cars is a pain. I had to do that when I had my drawing class in college. >.> My cars looked allll sorts of messed up lol.
Anyhow, the Title to this Cover "Desent - Cover" I find funny, because this is NOT desent.... this is hella awesome Rukis!!! Very, very well done as usual ^.^ I always love your art. :P You do such a good job, plus you seem to pay attention to detail in your art, which I love as well. ^.^ Can't wait to see more!

Very moody piece. I love your use of tone and colours to create astmosphere ^_^
I'm scared. That bunny is staring right at me. It doesn't know I exist, yet it is staring right at me. Help.
OMG!! RUN!! It'S the Rabbit of Caerbannog!!!!!

You know, if I ever get off my ass and edit up one of these novels I have lying around... I may well see if you're willing to take a stab at the cover...
Before I started drawing anthros, I was amazing at drawing cars. Well, my 5 year break from art lost the luster in my hand to draw them. Now I find them very hard to draw compared to huskies, but I'm trying to get paws back on the wheel as soon as possible. You car isn't bad at all, but it does show your effort in drawing it though. Although this is a generic car, but in my opinion I think the front end came from an AMC (still trying to think of the model, Ambassitor? Hornet?). Very '70-ish, but indeed generic. Very cool, but not as cool as the little bunny next to it.
