inspired by a harrowing experience on an island that SUPPOSEDLY has no large predators. my friend and i were stumped on the identity of the snarling.. animal of some sort roving in the pitch dark upsettingly close.
i didn"t recognize the death cries either, but it killed something not far off.
since our CSI:NATURE skillz couldn"t unveil its identity, we decided it was the montague beast (since that"s where we were)
it unsettles dogs and slaughters small herbivores in the nighttime. here it is frolicking in some phosphorescent seawater.

It's cute in a kind of demented way, i think because it's eye is low on it's face - but that reminds me of classic japanese art. I really love this drawing; this monster dog has a lot of energy and personality!
