Continuing with my recent attempt at getting more pictures of Janelle, I asked
WolfPsalm to try a hand at her when she most recently opened for commissions. Mostly wanted a teasing pose leaning over the desk, and definitely got that in spades. The idea of the transparent desk was all hers, and it works out well here.

I think what got me was not the obvious thing - it was looking at the glasses and then mentally putting them on her face and realizing they *worked*.

Janelle: "Ahh, that's part of the classification system, so books on similar primary subjects get grouped together if we put them in order. No classification system is perfect, of course, but having at least some order, if imperfect, is better than having everything haphazardly placed out. As for fees, you wouldn't be the first person to pay in gold around here, at least."

She's very interesting looking. Extra arms? Neat.
What I have found odd, is I can usually tell by scanning the thumbnails that a piece is a commission for you. I guess I recognize the characters? Mostly it's a 'looks like something for Jenora... oh it is' hunch.

Yeah, this is the character that I adopted after 
MissMab did a 'Create a character' panel at FA: United a few years back... so she literally was created by committee at the con. I only came up with an actual world background for her last month, where I decided that she was created by committee in-world, too. Because it made too much sense.
As for spotting commissions for me, well, I do have a few particular characters and themes I keep returning to, I suppose...
