|~~~~~…..A couple of months ago…..~~~~~|
“Alright, let’s review our plan…”
Spencer the Golduck said, as he laid out a map of what looked like the a village to his group he was with. He was sitting Accompanied by him were Ben the Growlithe and Daren the Zangoose who huddled in a open grassy field with the sun shining and particles of flowers flowed and danced in the breeze that flowed by. Ben sat down on his rear while Daren stood with his arms crossed looking at the map in confusion.
“…What plan was this one again? We’re gonna do something cool of a mission this time from Gunpowder?” Daren said suggestively, hinting a side of excitement in his voice showing his toothy grin to Spencer.
“Uhhh…no.”
Spencer said, giving his friend and teammate Daren an unamused look. Daren blinked and thought of another question.
“We’re going to steal treasure and beat up some bad Pokèmon…?”
Spencer folded his arms like Daren now.
“Come on, you can do better than that, bud…”
“We—we’re going to enjoy the day out here…?”
Spencer’s unamused face turned into a smile with his eyes half lidded now.
“Yes, but even better than that…”
“*Groan*…Then why are we out here?” Daren groaned in response, half lidding his eyes to Spencer.
“Well…it’s a nice day, and…it would be fun to do this, and I suggested it.” Ben piped up to Daren wagging his tail slightly smiling. Both Daren and Spencer looked back at him with Spencer smiling and Daren giving a confused look. “And that would be what exactly…?” Daren asked half interested, half confused.
“We’re going to plan out a celebration party for all of us officially being a full team group, and to welcome Ben to Team Clawback!” Spencer said excitedly looking at Daren and then to Ben. Hearing this got Daren excited with a big smile showing his teeth to Ben with him now reaching out and ruffling his furry hair.
“Haha, come on Daren, stooooop! Hahaha!” Ben said happily, enjoying the ruffles.
“Aw yeah buddy! It’s now official with you as a full team! Oh, we should definitely hit some markets to gather some supplies and do all of this—”
“Yeah, that was what I was thinking too! We should make a huge feast to celebrate!” Spencer interrupted Daren coming up with more ideas as he continued. “We can also cook up different dishes and think of fun games to play and—”
“Oh great idea, this is really coming together now!” Daren interrupted Spencer, and he stopped ruffling Ben’s head and stepped back to where he was originally standing excited looking at Spencer now.
“We can ask other friends we know to help celebrate too!”
Ben piped up again excitedly now interrupting Spencer. “We can get my dad to help us cook the feast and maybe host it at my house!”
“Oh, right, you mentioned your dad can cook, yeah?” Daren turned to Ben with a smile bigger than Ben has ever seen before since knowing him. “Yup!” Ben nodded in agreement. “Perfect! This is gonna be so great!” Spencer said to Ben happily with a thumbs up. “We are glad to have you on board buddy!” Daren also gave Ben a thumbs up too. Ben couldn’t help but smile and giggle at the kindness that Spencer and Daren gave.
“This feels so good…to be part of something greater…” Ben said happily to Spencer and Daren.
Spencer and Daren looked at each other and back at Ben.
“If it wasn’t for you all this time, we wouldn’t be here without your clever ideas, and we can use that advantage when we need to…you’re the tactics and the brains of our missions, after all!” Spencer said as Daren nodded too.
“Yeah!” Daren agreed chipping in, “I’m the muscle, and Spencer’s the leader. Together, we are unstoppable!”
“Yeah! ‘Cause we’re team clawback!” Ben said happily.
“Hah, yeah!”
“You said it bud!”
Spencer nodded and chuckled seeing Ben really happy.
“Heh. Now then…”
Spencer looked at the map again and pointed a location to Daren. “Hey Daren, so I was thinking We can cover the shops in order first here too…”
Spencer stopped and looked up at Ben again.
“…But I’m going to need the smart kid of our team to consult with us which place has the best shops right now.” Spencer said as he smirked a smile.
“Yeah, let’s get our newest member right on that, huh?” Daren smiled at Ben.
Smirking with half lidded eyes and a grin, Ben let out a chuckle,
“Heh heh, glad to be part of the team!”
