For whatever reason, a Bearger from Don’t Starve finds itself standing on a pedestal while slowly getting petrified into a marble statue.
A Bearger happened to wander into a clearing where it spotted what looked like a player’s base. The Bearger anticipated all of the edible food it would find stored in chests and ice boxes, but as the Bearger approached it saw that it was a large marble structure. Curiosity of the Bearger peaked as it found an entrance and stepped inside.
Did not take long for the Bearger to notice that the structure it had stepped into looked more like a museum. A few marble statues greeted the Bearger at the entrance, one of Deerclops and another of the Moose (or was it the Goose), the Bearger could never really remember as well as a few other statues of pigmen. But what bothered the Bearger was the fact that all of the statues appeared so lifelike and each seemed to express fear and desperation.
After spending some time exploring the gallery of assorted statues and failing to find any food, the Bearger comes across an empty pedestal that had a hanging sign that reads “step on up and strike a pose, and enjoy.” After struggling to understand the sign, the Bearger carelessly pulls itself onto the pedestal and does that, striking for a pose. At first everything seemed normal, but as the Bearger prepares to step down it finds that its body feels very heavy and unnaturally stiff. Bearger glances down and notices that its legs had started petrifying, quickly turning into marble and spreading up to its waist and forming around its arms. The Bearger was only able to let out a single roar and helplessly grid its teeth as its limbs stiffened and froze in place.
As the petrification process finishes, the Bearger is left as nothing more than a marble statue, yet another victim that was added to the gallery. At least the Bearger has a more ferocious look to it, unlike some of the other victims. Perhaps there will soon be more victims to add to the collection in time. One could say the Bearger was stoned...
I hope that everyone has had a somewhat pleasant day…
