I saw a Rainbow Brite meme posted around in mlp groups a couple times, with a Game of Thrones Daenery quote of “I’LL TAKE WHAT’S MINE, THROUGH FIRE AND BLOOD” and saved it to my phone because I felt a sudden urge to make it a actual thing.
How would I go about doing it? Crafting custom ponies of Rainbow Brite and Starlite covered in flames and blood, of course! And some kidnapped sprites on chains were a must too. Rainbow chains.
Looking through my pony bases, I decided a pure white fakie was perfect for this project for Starlite and a sitting newborn g3.5 were a good match.
Rainbow’s g3.5 base was coated in white gesso then flesh tone acrylic body color. Eyes also painted in acrylics, and blood splattered and star rhinestones in her eyes and on her cheek.
Mane and tail are rooted in nylon mlp dollyhair in custom blend colors lemondrop and lemonade, pony tail tied up in medium blue ribbon bow with skulls stitched in place and red rhinestonestar to finish. Splattered red acrylic paint for blood on her hair too and lightly curled the ponytail in my hairgel method.
Her entire outfit is stitched bias tape and maxi piping. She has tiny red leather shoes though and some black leather lace hemming her dress. She has thick wire anchored inside her body, and it’s threaded through the bottom of the pony and into a hole I carved into the back of Starlite, and I knotted/anchored the other end of the wire inside Starlite.
Starlite- Left the blue glass eyes original and in place. Painted 5 pigments of reds and pink around them though for blood lashes, then splattered red paint throughout the rest of the body of the pony and painted flames on the legs. I poured modpodge into a plastic lid and let it dry for a couple days, then painted flames on the puddle of mod podge, cut them out and fastened them to the legs of Starlite for 3-D flames. Added some blood splatters and red chains over top. Hooves are layered pigments of yellows, gold and glittery gold acrylics.
There was a pink harness over the face of the original fakie pony, so I fastened black/silver ribbon trim over it to embellish this design. Added the black lace trim on the chest and over the flanks, cross, skulls and droplet beads to embellish, and stitched gold spikes to leather lace trim to embellish the hair line. Cut “oozing blood” from thick red leather and added it to hair line as well for more bloody goodness.
Mane and tail- rooted in 10 colors of nylon mlp dollyhair.

Last finishing touch to this theme that was a must, was a couple of kidnapped sprites attached to rainbow chains!
Red sprite is crafted from a large red pompom ball, white sprite is stitched white faux fur. I cut their faces from leather and painted panicked expressions on them. xD
Noses are painted oval rhinestones. Arms and legs are beads wired together and stitched to the puff balls, I wrapped rainbow cord trim around legs on both. Stitched red leather shoes for the white sprite. Their hands are cut from red leather. Antennaes are beads on black wire.
Made their belts by stringing beads on hemp cord then tying them into place.
