Whether it's a need for knowledge or a thirst for thrills, the lure of adventure is infectious to those who strike out on a path all their own.
As one of the three first Langren, Lang Zhi declared the purpose of his kind to protect others. His sons Lang Ai and Lang Zhan, however, grew up at odds over how to carry on such a legacy. Ai favored letting threats present themselves before acting, despite it endangering others. Zhan insisted on seeking out those that would do harm and ending the threat before hand, by bloodshed. Disheartened by the conflict of his family, Ai's son Jun left home to wander the land in search of a better way.
He eventually found his answer in the mountains of Luoyang, where an order of Shaolin monks were settled. They gave Jun hospitality, while he took an interest in watching them practice katas. Mimicking their movements, he showed potential and was welcomed into the order. Taking the best of what he learned and mixing in the combat methods of his feral counterparts, he devised a new discipline... Tai Lang Quan. His way of honoring Lang Zhi's sacred vow.
His contribution to the House of Lang paved the way for his bloodline to accomplish great things. But his art would take a massive leap forward, thanks to his descendant in the modern day who was given his name. The boisterous daughter of Lang Shu and the Langren-adopted fox, Hirozuki Kitsune. The Lang Jun of today grew up on her parents' stories of how supernatural circumstances separated them, the many adventures they were caught up in searching each other, and the many more thereafter.
Despite her mother renouncing her kitsune magic, Jun carries the magic from the trickster side of her family, growing additional tails rapidly, thanks to her Langren blood. With these, she put her own spin on Tai Lang Quan, utilizing her extra appendages. Armed with her trusty Dao and Katana, fire magic and divine lightning, and inspiration from her parents' endeavors, she trains tirelessly to ready herself for her own adventures. Growing ever more impatient by the day.
