If you think this exist only in art... have you ever had food? Sure I am being hyperbolic (Both of us likely are) but it captures a moment I doubt actually exists unless you are literally a god and can predict the future and make it a reality. Granted given your comment I think you know this... I am just saying it can be achieved if only rarely.
Cool, I am not being critical of you in fact I think your comment implies you can catch a moment in that if this was a photo it could mean more but then again that is my own mental state (My boyfriend loves pancakes) but I an just trying to say "This captures the joy of food" and it does so wonderfully.

I'm actually very curious on what your method for the backgrounds are on these. It looks like it's based on a photo.
It is) The background was painted over a photo, while a foreground is a mix of drawing by hand and 3d shapes (for the syrup dispenser)

I would hope he's putting hot syrup on those pancakes. You don't put cold on hot. But this is a very Good piece.
Back in the 1950s when I was a kid, they used to put real buttermilk in the pancakes which gave them a sort of tangy tartness that they just don't have these days.
