Rec has grown very close to Marvin since the two first met. The moose went from a kind stranger to a steamy aqcuaintance to a very big friend in many more ways than one. Rec had been the kind of person that was easy to miss even before his shrinking curse plagued him, but Marvin always took notice of the snake and actively cared for his physical and mental wellbeing--some occasional teasing notwithstanding. And despite Marvin"s career choice, he had always been careful not to overstep his boundaries with intimacy unless Rec was willing, which he became more and more over time. Marvin had even discovered a way to alleviate Rec"s shrinking curse, returning him to normal size with a simple but compassionate kiss. It didn"t take long for Rec to develop an immense admiration toward his equally immense friend.
Then one day, Rec reflected on those feelings and suddenly realized he was in love. Like superheated water being disturbed and flash boiling with explosive force, that admiration similarly exploded into attraction. Suddenly he could no longer look Marvin in the eye without feeling his face flush. His entire body tingled every time the moose gave him the slightest touch, and Rec"s speech collapsed into a stammering mess whenever Marvin was nearby. Marvin was quick to notice this of course, but he never pressed Rec when the snake failed to work up the courage to tell him what was going on.
Rec knew he had to tell Marvin at some point, but how could a nervous little snake possibly live up to someone so confident and glamorous? With a career like Marvin"s, the moose has probably had plenty of people fall for him before. What would make someone like Rec any different?
Continuing with yet more memes that are shockingly fitting for my characters, I couldn"t help but attempt my own take on this wonderfully cute one! The flavor text is more or less canon here as well. Funnily enough, I never really imagined Marvin getting into a relationship with Rec when I first designed him; I figured he would just be another macro to dominate my de-facto sona, but as I fleshed out his personality and did scenes with him and Rec that turned out caring and gentle, I began to ship them. And now I am making it official through the sanctity of memes.
