That’s it. That’s the picture.

Mike isn’t the only one who can dish out teases and distractions in an effort to be annoying, you know. In fact, this picture is a canonical sequel to Distracting Noodle. There are a lot of things Mike would do to be irksome to his trainer. Liiiike: Crinkle empty water bottles next to his trainer’s ear to wake him up, make noise in the kitchen to get his trainer to come out and make sure his head wasn’t stuck in a jar of peanut butter again, climb his way up to the coldcuts in the fridge and walk into his trainer’s room eating them, turn on the oven and make it beep to get his trainer to make foo— Okay, a lot of this is kitchen related.

But one thing he would do, particularly after being tickled, was retaliate by nibbling the hand that did it. If his love of food isn’t a tell, Mike nommed on everything. So, when he had sufficiently calmed down post-squeeze, or even caught his trainer’s hand before it could get bad, he’d latch on “tight” and pull his hind paws up for extra clinging. Most often, the result was him getting carried to a couch or bed – still on the arm – and being dragged across it while being baselessly insulted. This time, the insult was that he’s a “smelly little man”.

“You’re foul!” his trainer said. “Aeeengium-nyum-num-num,” came the reply. “Foul! Smelly little man!” his trainer insisted. “ÆÆÆ-- mmmnmnumnyum!” was Mike’s expert retort. “You are! You're my stinky baby! An infant!” said the human, convinced he was right. “Nnquummnnng... am-nyumnm...” Okay, well this wasn’t getting anywhere. Yeah, his trainer could grab the b-e-a-n-s, but… nah, nibble-noises are too cute. He’s having fun.

He does need a bath, though.
