So I was reading Dell comics's Pogo Possum #7, cover date Oct-Dec 1951, and the lead story, ``The Return of the Fiasco Kid'', which gets to the volunteer fire department. There, we encounter Barnstable Bear (right) and this interesting-looking bull whom I don't remember from the syndicated newspaper comics. I didn't catch his name, either, which is a shame. Looks really great, though as you can see, he was having some self-doubts about his look as a fire fighter.

I've been doing a fair bit of lettering and ProCreate certainly makes it easier than ArtRage did. And yet somehow I need like three lines before I get the hang of whatever I'm writing. I need to use a scratch layer to go over the text once and then throw that away and start writing it out for real.
