Panel from a two-page story of Buzzy The Mean Crow, reprinted in the 1986 compilation Harvey Comics Spotlite: Baby Huey. Though Buzzy was briefly a Famous Studios theatrical-shorts character he got relegated to the comics, mostly as a backup feature for Baby Huey. This is as marginal a character as you can be and not exclusively appear in those one-page text stories they had to run for post office regulation purposes.
Anyway Buzzy and his nemesis, a Cat who might possibly be Katnip from those Herman-and-Katnip cartoons, here got a two-page story where they end up in a pickle factory, and Katnip(?) gets the worst of it. I liked the scene, though. I don't understand why the conveyor belt is falling down there rather than at the end of the last roller. But I also have questions about the frames holding the rollers there. Like, they seem to be connected instead of bring a string of individual stands.
Original artist uncredited and I don't know when the story first appeared (the 1986 printing was a reprint), but Warren Kremer's probably a good guess on the art at least.
