Here's a little extra to the comic :) Because Nigel's family has a big role in his prologue story, I thought making a little reference about them will help a lot in work, then I though if I already edited them together I could share them with you :)

With the way the comic is going, I'm afraid the parents may very well be quite the problematic individuals, we just have to wait and see
I feel like now that nigel wasn't chosen for guardian his parent's gonna flip to toby as the favorite and nigel gonna be tossed aside and beeing treated like a failure.

If I had to guess, it might end up with their focus latching onto Toby instead and apart from the disappointment and shame Nigel experiences from not being chosen, he then might need to battle the conflicting feeling between being a good sibling and being envious to their attentions suddenly falling upon his younger sibling as the ''spare''. Might make for an interesting sort of dilemma - jealousy but also with the sense that he knows full well that he cannot be the one to speak up given that he has been the focus up until that point.
Inb4 the parents give Nigel hell for not being good enough, and that's why he's so disillusioned now.
I'm afraid the name Solomon would be misleading about the real wisdom of the father... Also, the mother apparence seem to suggest something about her personality... We'll see in the rest of the comic...

All that love and attention was a façade, I can see it now. They were terrible people that only thought about themselves, their own pride and what they wanted their son to be. And if he failed them? Well, what a waste of time, trash. Their heads too far up their asses to see what they had there in front of them, or to smell the flowers. And the evidence is right in front of poor Nigel from the start, with how they ignored his little brother
I am really loving their design! Costumes, colors, heads: I've just realized the father is missing part of his ear. It's a nice way to add some back-story for that character!
It looks like the missing part of Solomon's ear is on the same diagonal line as the scars on his arm.
NIcely done. I still amazed you can keep all your characters together since there are a lot by now.
I won't lie I love this blend of two animals. A rabbit/hare rhino speices. But talking about story... I'm so scared for Nigel and his family QwQ
