The sun came up as it shined brightly over the City. It was Saturday, which signalled the beginning of the weekend. And for two teachers; Lego and Lauxenio, they were casually speaking to one another about how things had been for one another as they walked together. For Lauxenio, who caught a break in not having to grade anymore work from his students, walked down the sidewalk in happiness and bliss, while Lego walked beside him questioning his companion’s unusual cheeriness.
Lego: Well, you seem to be very cheerful since I saw you yesterday.
Lauxenio: Well, what do you expect? It’s the weekend and I finally finished up marking all of my student’s paperwork last night. Which at long last gives me time to finally enjoy myself and do what I want on this free day.
Lego: Well then. Good thing I don’t have to mark anyone’s paperwork unless necessary. Not to mention using your free day to spend time with me.
Lauxenio: Well, why wouldn’t I? And you don’t need to do much marking or any at all because you’re a substitute teacher, Lego. Subs don’t really mark papers unless the teacher they’re filling in for is gone long term.
Lego: Yeah, and since I’m a sub, it means I get more free time.
Lauxenio: You mean free time to have fun and slack off?
Lego: On the contrary. I have been doing research on this World and been trying to find clues as to why we came back to life in this World specifically. Not to mention all of us being scattered. All of that as well as cooking for Jaymee, Jinx, Rich, and his girlfriend.
Hearing Lego say the names of Jaymee, Rich and Jinx, Lauxenio couldn’t help but chuckle.
Lauxenio: Well now. Guess you are still looking after everyone even after we got out of Daybreak Town. Not to mention feeding them.
Lego: It’s become a routine habit for me at this point. After all, I am one of the four leaders of the party. Still need to be a representation for everyone. Especially when AJ and Woods come by to visit. Though I am still trying to help them find out where Yoko could be. Which reminds me, did you find any clues to where she could be since we last time spoke about her?
The moment Lego brought up Yoko, Lauxenio could do nothing but sigh.
Lauxenio: I have been doing all that I could to try and find information on Yoko myself. But so far nothing has come up. But knowing her, I am a bit worried myself. Hoping she’s doing okay.
Lego: Indeed. But remember. Yoko is fighter. She wouldn’t go down so easy if she were to defend herself. But besides all of that, I have been trying to see who else did come back. But so far, I haven’t met any familiar faces besides everyone who I see in school almost every day.
Lauxenio: Same here. Been trying to do my part whenever I go out or on my way to school to see if anyone familiar walk by. But so far there hasn’t been anyone.
Lego: We may need to go to places that we never usually go to. Or at the very least, go to part of the City we haven’t been to yet at all. For all we know Yoko and maybe everyone else could be in those areas.
Lauxenio: Sounds like a good plan, honestly. We already tried the areas we already know and found nothing, so better just try and see the new ones or places we never been to. But since we’re talking about our comrades, I wanted to ask you this. Have you seen or heard anything regarding Oliver, Talon, and Marissa?
Lego: Sadly no. I haven’t seen them or heard anything about them being here. But I am still looking around.
With the two teachers walking down the street together, they began to hear loud noises and screams from people to their left. As Lego and Lauxenio turned to see where the noise was coming from, they were introduced to a sight they weren’t expecting. Across the street from them, Lego and Lauxenio saw large pitched tents that came in an array of colours. With the tents, there were numerous attractions and rides people were both lining up for and leaving. Along with all of tents and rides, a large Ferris wheel was located at the centre of the entire event that was taking place in from of the two teachers.
Lego: Wow. I didn’t expect to see a Carnival in a City like this.
Lauxenio: Well to be fair, we did have occasions like this back in Daybreak Town. But those were mostly for celebrating a Holiday, and judging by the time and month we are in, there isn’t any special Holiday going around as far as I know.
Lego: Well in either case. I kind of want to see what’s going on. Should be fun.
Lauxenio: Can’t deny that. And who knows. Maybe we might run into someone we know over there.
Lego: All the more reason to go.
With their next destination right in front of them, Lego and Lauxenio crossed the street and made their way through the main entrance, as they began to walk inside the Carnival area.
Lauxenio: Hey! I know where we are! We’re at the park! Can’t believe I didn’t recognize it.
Lego: You’re telling me. I only heard of a park being near the school, but never had a chance to check it out. How is it without all of this around?
Lauxenio: It’s nice, peaceful, and if you’re here at the right time, absolutely quiet. With nobody around to deal with.
Lego: Sounds like a good place to collect your thoughts.
Lauxenio: Yeah. That too.
Lego and Lauxenio began to look all around the Carnival, seeing the attractions and rides everybody was lining up for. But due to the both of them wearing the suits that they wear for teaching classes, both of them agreed it would be best to not go on any rides in case their clothes got caught on anything or got dirty. Despite that setback, the two of them continued to walk around, getting a quick bite to eat from one of the stands, and trying out a few games to see if they still had their accuracy in hitting the targets. Even though both of them were able to do well in the games, it wasn’t enough to win any prizes. Neither of didn’t mind that they didn’t win anything, but it did show that they needed to improve on their accuracy.
Lego: Note to self. Start to try out target practising.
Lauxenio: Yeah. I gotta sharpen my skills too.
Lego and Lauxenio had finished exploring half of the entire Carnival area, and were ready to see the other half. But as they were about to go and look around, a voice called out to Lauxenio.
????: Laux! Laux! Over here!
Hearing the nickname that was given to him by those who knew him, Lauxenio turned his head to the right, where he saw Diana Neapolitan Choco, his girlfriend and co-worker from the school he and Lego teach.
Lauxenio: Diana? What are you doing here? And…..
Lauxenio got a good look at Ms. Choco’s outfit, and despite his skin being very white and very pale, a blush could be seen on his face.
Lauxenio: Why are you wearing something so revealing at a place like this?
Seeing him blush, Ms. Choco couldn’t help but giggle.
Ms. Choco: Oh, Laux. You really do look cute when you act shy.
Lauxenio: I….I was just caught by surprise is all.
Ms. Choco: Oh don’t try and make up an excuse, sweety. I was just teasing was all. But if you must know, I am working. Same with Battleberry, Billie Jean, and her husband Rufus.
Lauxenio and Lego looked behind Ms. Choco, where they saw Mr. Bull and Ms. Battleberry bickering at one another, while Mrs. Bull was preparing herself as she was applying lipstick.
Lauxenio: So you all work at a Carnival on the side?
Ms. Choco: What? No we don’t work here on the side, silly. We’re here volunteering for the fundraiser for our school.
Lauxenio: Wait. This whole Carnival is for a Fundraiser?
Ms. Choco: Well yes and no. Yes, what we’re doing here is for a fundraiser for the school. But no, the school didn’t pay for this entire Carnival. We only got ourselves a spot after asking the manager of this event if we could have an empty spot here to do so. And let’s just say, it took a lot of convincing to get a spot for this Kissing Booth. As well as the boxing ring behind us.
Lauxenio: Wow. That sure was nice of them to give you guys this area to do the fundraiser.
Ms. Choco: It really was. But I better get started though. Don’t want to hold up the line. But I did want to give you something though.
Lauxenio: And what was that?
Ms. Choco: Nothing really. Just a sweet kiss. On the house.
Lauxenio could only smile, as he approached Ms. Choco and leaned forward. Seeing where this was going, Lego felt it was best to leave the couple to each other for the time being.
Lego: Laux. I’ll just leave you to do what you need to do here. I’ll go and have a look around the area here.
Lauxenio: No worries, Lego.
As Lego began to walk away, Lauxenio resumed his motion of leaning towards Ms. Choco, as she leaned forward herself, as they inched closer and closer, until their lips made contact.
I would like to give my sincerest apologies for the delay of this chapter. Things currently on my end regarding getting the pics for them have unfortunately grinded to a standstill, and may unfortunately stay that way until further notice for Chapter 22. I know this may not be like the usual introducing another character from the Galactic Star party after they found themselves out of the Keyblade War, but I feel that a change-up was needed until the next chapter would be done. And it's also good to see two characters seen before getting to be able to chat with one another about the update on their situations was a good light to shine upon, to show how thing have been while other members were being introduced.

Great picture, very sweet, and nice story, good to see the characters having abit of fun, for a change, I hope they enjoy it while it lasts. :)
Thanks :) . Yeah I felt like this was a good moment to show them living out their lives outside of trying to search for information or being in a dire situation. Cannot always be on the run from something :) . And I sure hope they do enjoy this time of peace as well :)
Welcome. Yeah, definitely a good picture to show a moment of peace. :)
Indeed :) . But one wonders what will await them in the future.
