Looking at this picture after reading the entire series, I just want to give him a big hug. It's an incredible series, and it was extremely easy to fall into the world. Heartwrenching and I couldn't stop reading it, twice.

While my own family is awesome, there is undoubtedly an aspect of wish fulfillment in my writing of Sammy's found family. So I totally get what you mean.

Even if it is totally non-canon, I would LOVE to read a story about Sam staying at a hotel that is coincidentally hosting a furry convention and he just wanders around in werewolf form while everyone assumes he’s just wearing the most incredibly lifelike fur suit of all time. If only so he can find out there’s a whole sub-set of humanity that love him!

You’re completely right about it being overwhelming to Sam to meet an entire convention of us. I would still love to read a story of Sam maybe meeting just one or two while he is all fuzzy. He tries to scare them off, but instead of reacting with the fear every other human on earth with a sense of self-preservation would and running away, they approach him and compliment him on his fur suit. Sam of course has no idea how to respond and just says “thanks?” Thus begins his journey of discovery!

Well, there is a line in one of the stories where Madison suggested he go to a furry con to meet women. Sammy couldn't take that idea seriously, though. I think he'd most likely just have a panic attack if he was stuck out in public in wolf form, even in a situation where he'd be "naturally camouflaged" like that.
