So, an interesting fact: Mei can molt. When her old skin becomes too small or gets too beaten up she can simply shed it, despite the process being involuntry, time consuming and as she puts it "annoying" its a sign that your arachnarekos is in good health! signs that she is going to moult often indicate loss of appetite, faded or spoiled patterns, discomfort and loss of energy. Mei does not harden right away either, it takes a good week before her exoskeleton has hardened to a level where she can start to roam around again, her fangs, stinger and wings are also shed during this process.
