The latest in my series of "Compositions of a Stupid Autistic Mind," which are either repetitive on purpose or are just stupid little melodies I improvise. Why? It represents the annoying things I used to do as a child, which proved to my parents I really am autistic. This whole series of compositions are based on dreams I have from time to time, which are flashbacks of my childhood. These repetitive melodies, therefore, are generally either things I improvised and they stuck with me, or were based on things I discovered I remembered wrong. Alternately, they're sometimes relevant to a current event in my life, or just represent what mood I am in right now (or otherwise tell the story of my life). This series also is a challenge for me to use specific MuseScore templates at least once (although I also modify settings on the templates to make it easier on myself). That challenge is completed, though, so I'm now going back to templates I am used to, namely when there's lots of percussion.
Similar to The Big Bad Wolf, this is something I improvised one day, and it never left my head. I just struggled to think of a title for it when I finally put notes down on the sheet music, so I finally settled on "The Autistic Boogie" (even if this repetitious song isn't really a boogie by definition).
The piece requires:
Piano
Electric piano
Electric guitar
Acoustic guitar
Electric bass
Glockenspiel
Crotales
Xylophone
4 vibraphones
6 marimbas (2 grand staff, 2 treble clef, 2 bass clef)
Timpani
Drum set
Battery percussion

well, to me, it is a ostinato (repeating short motif) and i like orchestra pieces with them
I see. All my COASAM pieces are repetitive on purpose.
a major part of music is repetition!! if a chorus or theme never repeats again, or if the rhythm constantly changed, music would never be catchy (but it could still be interesting)
