When Rezo showed up to warn her about the plans the "evil Zelgadis" had in store for her, Jinx . . . didn"t really care. For that matter, she didn"t even know who Zelgadis was, as the chimera hadn"t even told her his name (not that she really gave him a chance). Rezo then tried to change tactics and ask directly for the item, but Jinx didn"t like that either. Why give it up for free? At which point, Rezo got tired of her attitude and just decided to take it himself.
This would normally be the wrong move, as Jinx attempted to demonstrate. Unfortunately, Jinx learned the hard way that it sometimes pays to reflect on your behavior.

Jinx's weight is actually super variable, so she could. She's been chubby before. Usually after eating an entire life-sized statue of a person made of chocolate.
