FOX: "You are welcome!" (thinks *Should I say something else? I hope she likes the ballon and plushie. Girls like these things, right? Damn, it seems like I don't know that much about women! I feel like a moron. Good think she doesn't hear me right now...*)
KRYSTAL: "Don't worry, Fox. This is my first date too."

Fox and Krystal on a date on Corneria! In my headcanon I imagine that there was no place for romantic relationship in Fox's life before. (He is mercenary and a military man) Besides, having lost his mother very early, Fox didn't have an example of relationship to learn from. So dating Krystal is quite a challenge for him now!
P.S. I haven't drawn ponies for a while and begin to miss them. That's why you can find several easter eggs here lol.

I really like the design of her dress! You kept the little markings of her Saurian outfit, which is very nice. :3

This looks amazing! The background is very rich in detail for the architecture of Corneria City and all of those easter eggs! (Advertisement boards, MLP references in the gift items, etc)
I especially love how Krystal has a more traditional or "Cerinian" dress as she is on a date with Fox. It is another good contrast of that "Cornerian" (Western?) and "Cerinian" (Eastern?) styles and cultures like in your previous pictures (the one where they are holding Marcus) - really helps show the difference between the two and how they came to be. And of course, it makes Krystal all the more special. ^^

Sadly, we know almost nothing about Cerinia, and the only thing we have is Krystal's outfit from Adventures. But still:) Giving her simple date dress seemed to boring to me, so I added more Cerinian look. This dress and shoes must have been made to measure, I doubt they seel Cerinian clothes on Corneria As for Fox - I wanted to give him a little military-like look, but not an actuall uniform. Krystal is very speical - I think Fox mayhave the most unique girlfriend in the entire Lylat system^^

Indeed, I wish Nintendo gave us more lore and information about Cerinia and the mysterious, exotic Cerinians. Oh well, I guess that allows people to imagine their own ideas of what Cerinia is like. I have seen many examples - using the old concept of Dinosaur Planet to imagine what Cerinia and the Cerinians in Star Fox is like. I have my own idea as well to try and entertain myself on the mystery of Cerinia.
The added Cerinian look worked very well for Krystal and I enjoyed it a lot.

She is also a telepath with three toes It makes me wonder - will Marcus inherit his mom's special traits?
In most fanfictions and interpretations of Marcus that I have seen - Yes, Marcus does inherit his mother's telepathic abilities. From his father's side (Papetoonian), he inherits the natural leadership skills of the McCloud linage it seems.
For the three toes (Cerinian from Krystal), I do not know if Marcus will have that. It depends on how many toes his father (Papetoonian from Fox) has. Although official references for that is hard as most of the time Fox has boots on or metallic legs if you go to his older versions.
Overall, it is fun to think these things out and try to build off what little lore and universe that Nintendo provided. ^^

That's what I plan to do^^ My interest in Star Fox has arisen again this year and I intend to create my own little headcanon universe (I did something like that in my MLP pictures). I have many ideas already. A sequel to my previous picture with injured Fox (featuring Krystal and Falco). More scenes with Marcus (Marcus meeting/talking to Peppy, Tricky, Fara Phoenix). Story about severely injured Krystal. Fox and Krystal streaking in Corneria City XD

Fun to think about it all - hard when making art or writing a story about it. XD
Then there are also things like an Alternate Universe I thought of if Cerinia was never destroyed - all the things that could change or happen if that one important event never happened, etc.
