A young trainer, proud and serious yet kind and friendly, that has traveled to various regions for his own interest and research.
Born in Sinnoh, now currently roaming through Galar to find antique history about the region, pokémon living there and the mysterious phenomenon of "Infinity Energy", so he is in fact more of a archaeologist than pokemon professor.
He loves pokémon more than humans which why he is mostly alone during his journey with his favorite pokémon, especially his faithful corviknight and zorua Max.
He does not shrink back if something unusual happens around him, so he goes to check if he could find something interesting to study or something to interact.
He find legendary pokémon and mega evolution most fascinating due do it's power, origin and mysterious energy they emit and loves to interact most every pokémon to his pleasure or to study them to understand. He was send by his mentor, who is also a professor, from Sinnoh to make research about the Infinity Energy that is emited by pokémon after a evolution and other way like stones filled with the energy.
His main pokéball is luxury ball to catch pokémon.

Fashion
His favorite color is mostly black/monochrome and prefer to wear elegant and formal. Sometime he wear casual clothes like hoodie too since it depend of his mood and no matter which clothes he wears, he alway keep his scally hat, be it black or white, on his head since it's his signature of his fashion unless he takes it off for his sleeptime.
His moral will sink if he wear clothe in different color than black or white because he can be a perfectionist when it comes to his taste of fashion.
He wears a mega ring as necklace outside his casual clothes, though usually worn in finger in Kalos and Alola.

Battle skill
Not only he fight by sending his pokémon he trains with lot of care to battle, he can fight as well in person and his choice of weapon is the "Crow Rapier" which he attacks in impressive speed and moves like as if he is dancing elegantly. He mainly focus for weakpoint to come up tactics. He is always looking for challenges to fight with his sword, especially from worthy and formidable opponent even if stronger or bigger than him.
In his casual look, he doesn't carry the rapier.

His mysterious strength
Rumors has it that he has a dark power that makes him much stronger than any human and able to control energy of darkness.
A witness once saw a person in monochrome clothes and having red glowing eyes of a demon standing in place where everything is destroyed/burning with a huge claymore, however this claiming has not been confirmed.
Another rumors says that this person is aiming to be the strongest creature in the whole world and has even fought a tyranitar once with BARE HANDS on top of a mountain and defeated a corviknight in gigantamax form to capture it, which might be the reason why some strong pokémon are afraid of him.
However, all of the rumors about his demonic side has yet to be proven.

Strange book
He found a mysterious old book full of riddles in old language at Canalave Library. Intersted by solving the riddles to understand what's inside of the book is, he purchased it to find out that it exist only one kind of book in the world. Rumors has it that it was wroten by the allmighty god Arceus personally.
Every page is filled with history of legendary pokémon about their origin, behavior and power. What mostly has caught his interest to study is the many strange story in that book that it said to be prophecies actually. As for examples, it tells about a white haired girl that can modify her body by absorbing body liquid from any creature, especially legenday pokémon. Or a man that is a half demon and is is able to travel from universe to other. Or, as much Marc could understand from a line, some kind of a "Recreation" of "Fourth Generation" would come at a month where colorful leaves falls before frozen water comes from sky in a year where a "1" is the last of four numbers.
Despite the book causing the trainer confusion, he uses every opportunity to read it even he is unsure which inside of the book are true or not. He hopes to meet persons mentioned in that book one day.

His favorite bag
In Kalos he purchased the useful bag with with different compartments for his stuffs like potions, clothes, books and more. A black Rotom Phone resides inside the bag as well and comes out when his trainer calls him.
On the backside it has two attachements for his rapier to make it looks like he is actualling carring the sword on his left hip. It was specially customized at a tailoring to solve the problem of constant changes between his trouser belt and long coat for the scabbard to hold.
