Introducing yet another new kitty. Presenting Rashila! She was mentioned in one earlier blurb with Zephra ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/31718661/ ), and I decided to introduce her more properly here. We definitely need a tiger who can cook! I just need to add a few more traits to make her stand out more. What interests or quirks could she have?
---
"So then lil Agnes comes back twenty minutes later, in a different dress, trying to pass herself off as Geraldine. I had to give her a proper time out, but I have to say, I give her props for the attempt. You have to watch out for cubs when they look so similar! Especially when cookies are on the line!"
Rashila had just finished retelling an afternoon snack situation with her sister Elaine, who sat opposite her at the quaint dining room table. The purple tigress relaxed in her chair, the cushions keeping her comfortable even if for a short while. The purple mother tigress smiled proudly toward her sister, or rather the look on her sister's face as she continued to devour her meal, voice rumbling with a consistent, delighted purr.
"Children get pretty sneaky, that is true," agreed Elaine, "but at least your kids do not share the speed and cunning traits of a Fennec fox! Our first litter was a pawful, especially when they found out you could pull out couch cushions and pillows to use as landing pads. But I guess after your second and third litters, it becomes easier to handle,"
"It helps when they know your punishment includes missing dessert," Rashila giggled.
The red tigress inhaled slowly, a soft smile creeping across her face. "And speaking of dessert, it smells wonderful so far, and it is not even ready yet! I just hope I have room for it. All this food is making these shorts hard to fit, already."
Elaine's blue top held onto her own pregnant form, though unlike her sister, the deep red tigress's top could not cover most of her white, cub-filled middle. If she were going to more public spaces or more formal family gatherings, she would have been a little self-conscious over her revealed belly, but when she was visiting her sister while both of their husbands were out with the kids? Elaine was elated to be seated in a pair of jean shorts and one of her favorite tops, regardless of the resulting exposure. The warmth outside was an equally good reason to let the belly out, too, and her latest litter of growing cubs and kits were more than willing to agree.
The purple tigress shifted in her seat and gestured to her sister's plate. "Well, maybe you should stop asking for more, Elaine. Trust me, the dessert is worth the wait,"
"But it all tastes so good! One of these days you are going to teach me your tricks,"
"They aren't tricks. They're magic culinary powers!"
Both mothers paused when a beeping sound erupted from the kitchen. Rashila sighed and slowly slid her chair back. Both were glad the chairs were without arms, which would have proved complicated when it came time to stand up. The purple tigress placed a paw on the table and lifted herself up with a grunt, her light-purple belly peeking from the bottom of her red shirt. Elaine gave a playful smirk to her superior cook sister; it seemed both of them did not pick a top big enough for either pregnancy. Once she was properly on both feet, Rashila took her plate and waddled into the kitchen. She would have taken Elaine's as well, but the red tigress was grabbing another forkful of chicken and rice at the time. Even after hinting at the greatness ahead, there was no denying the delight of her main course.
Although both sisters could smell dessert in the distance, the scent of warm cinnamon and baked sugar loafs truly filled the air once the oven was opened, and the delightful smells wafted into the dining room. Elaine had just finished her latest plate when the growing scent hit, and soon enough, she felt the shifting and kicking of her cubs and kits within her crowded middle. Her belly wobbled just slightly against the table, and so she sat back, relaxing in the chair and rubbing at her full belly. And yet, the smell of sweet rolls made her argue that she had room for at least one more delicate dish ahead.
Back in the kitchen, Rashila stared down the rolls as a hunter preparing to strike. With a smooth spatula, she spread over the rolls with a rich creamy icing, and to her delight, the tasty drizzle melted and sunk into the rolls only so much, leaving a warm sweet topping to join the already delectable dessert. She took another long inhale of the sweet delights, and a delighted mrowl rolled out of her mouth without much hesitation.
"You eating them all without me?" her sister half-joked from the other room.
"No no no...what kind of host would I be? And besides, I want my kitchen to get a good review~"
Elaine's paws continued to rest at her belly, the activity having died down slightly from the spark of sugary sweet smell. In the short moment alone, the crimson tigress licked her lips to catch any residual sauce from their dinner, and although she found nothing, she still purred in satisfaction. She could tell if she stayed still for much longer, she would certainly fall into a food-induced cat nap, but she did not need to wait too long.
"Aaaand, here they are! Rashila's sweet swirly buns~"
The purple tigress emerged from the kitchen with a plate of some of the iced rolls. She internally leapt for joy to see the pleased look on her sister's face. She had been tweaking the spices, and the changes appeared to be effective. Rashila placed the plate onto the table and lowered herself gingerly back onto the chair, and with a little adjustment, the tigress was back where she started, except now with a dessert ready for their destruction. With dessert presented properly, Elaine huffed gently as her litter began squirming within again, and Rashila could feel a stirring in her belly, as well. The purple tigress giggled and transferred one of the rolls onto her sister's plate.
"I was going to ask how Chris is doing with work, but I think we should hold off any conversation until we have at least half a roll in each of us."
"Deal."
Her desserts were typically conversation starters, but sometimes, they out-staged the conversation entirely!
