Yes, I also did not understand this thought, because it is cut off from blood circulation and other facets, in the first place it will rot, and secondly, what is the point of it.
It's been a while since I watched it, but I think the real hand was actually a fake/cybernetic 'real' hand to give him a slightly (and I do mean slightly, lol) more 'human' approach, i.e. he waves at civilians or shakes their hands with his 'real' hand to go along with his human face. Make him more man-in-armor than robot-with-human-face sort of deal. Again, it's been a while since I watched that one (while it was good, I still prefer the original), so I could be remembering it incorrectly.
perhaps you `re right. In fact, I like the remake much more than the original. Since there the character is better revealed. Of course, many people like the original more, but this is more likely due to nostalgia.
Actually, I have to amend what I said earlier now that I remember more of the new version. I like the grittiness of the original and the story was great too. But I like how in the new version he was 'saved' in the view of his family and they don't think he's dead, as well as the fact that he still has his human mind as opposed to how he's more like a robot with memories in the original. So I don't prefer one over the other; more so, I like certain aspects of each one. And, as you said, nostalgia is a big factor.
that was just weird and has not point but yeah hollywood trying to making "work" everything that was already perfect on his own I do not hate the "remake" robocop for me means a lot that everything about it works for me but some little details like this can make you mad XD also lets do not forget the nonsense change of body the amazing epic , imposing shiny robot for that lame black armor guy ...
