I'm really feeling this character today so I decided to write a little something about one of her nightmare devices that... well it's Skaven tech so 25% of the time it works all the time. Please enjoy my mad science rat. I love her so. XD
Vhix looked across the field at the human settlement from the safety of the hastily dug tunnel into their farms. Her stormvermin exited first, forming a perimeter followed by lumbering stormfiends and weapon teams. A nod from one of her warlock engineers signaled that they were undetected. He raised a grey clawed hand towards the darkened tunnel entrance and gestured towards the town. "Move-bring the stormcaller into position." A group of slaves chained to a large bronze sphere began to emerge, slinging ever so slowly towards the gerund cleared by the Skaven forces. Satisfied with its position, Vhix made a few last minute adjustments to the controls before tapping deep into the winds of magic. Crackling warp lightning began to form in her hands. Bringing them together, the electrical energy began rapidly increasing in size. When she dared not hold it any longer for fear of incinerating herself, she discharged the bolt towards the sphere. Signaling to her warlock engineer assistant, she cried out for all present to hear. "Make-use the sphere!! FRY-FRY THE MAN-THINGS!!!!" Her assistant threw the switch and the large bronze device whirred to life, causing a single sickly green electrical beam to shoot up into the sky. The clouds began to coalesce and whirl, forming a vortex above the town. Just as the sky looked ready to tear open, the sphere went silent, instantly shutting down. When the green light from the stormcaller ceased, Vhix feared the worst. Just as she was about to turn and descend back down the tunnel entrance, the sky lit up green and with a loud crack an impossibly large lightning bolt tore one of the human structures in half. The ear splitting cry of the storms anger filled the night as bolt after bolt struck the settlement. The only break to the deathly silence was the maniacal cackle of the arch-warlock. "Yes-yes I have done this. The world above will shake and burn with the wrath of the great horned rat!" The glow of her glee and self satisfaction danced around her almost as a physical aura. As she moved toward the tunnel entrance she stopped and glanced over her shoulder at the warlock engineer staring dumbfounded at the smoking wreckage that was once a town. "Take-lead your troops into the Man-things ruin. Take no prisoners, leave no life. Let their cry-screams echo-sound through the night."

Excellently done! I enjoy good writing/storytelling, even if it is small. Keep it up! Writing needs more respect.
