It's impossible not to be charmed by the over-poofed retro version. Especially with the nice dithering on the neck-fluff. But I have to admit that I'm really intrigued by your iridescent painterly style on the left. It's like watercolor pixel-art! It probably has like, a hundred extra colors but who cares? It's a unique aesthetic. I would try counting the colors but you saved this as a JPEG for some bizarre reason so I guess I'll never know.
