You trespassed where you shouldn't have... an ancient grove guarded by a spirit of the wilderness. They give you an ultimatum; either you live there for the entire lifespan of a native plant before release, to repay your transgression... or you never leave this place alive. But they're benevolent, they'll let you pick your fate, and what you become. In your haste you glance around, your mind going blank so you point at the nearest tree! Something small, scraggly, surely as good a pick as any.
The spirits looks you over and nods. So be it!
Little did you realize the tree you so hastily chose can live for five thousand years or more...
... guess you'll have plenty of time to enjoy it~
Been awhile since I've done a tree transformation, figured I'd have some fun with the posing! If you think about it, upside down like this kinda makes sense for trees and plants. Roots are how the plant ingests water and nutrients, so one could say they're more analogous to a mammal's mouth than they are to their toes as is traditional in tree TF. So why not point them downward! Flowers, cones, pollen, we all know what that's analogous to, so that makes sense pointing upward too. ;D
I guess technically this is TFTG as well since only "female" pine trees produce cones. XD

So amazingly creative! I'm not sure I've seen an inverted tree TF before!
And don't think I didn't notice that beak is already fused closed into the trunk!
So devious. You can just stay that way. *grins*

Mmmnnph. Well... who needs to open their beak when they've got nice long roots to soak up soil anyway~
Really a fan of the inverted tree shape. I love the expression!
Plenty of time to enjoy soaking up the sun and water!

Might as well be, but that finger certainly won't be wiggling forever, hehe!
Nice TF~ And I love the inverted thing lol Shame though. Could have had a better view if you had turned the other way XD
Maybe it's a ridge and there's an equally good view the other direction? Either that or he's gonna be looking down at the dirt and rocks for quite awhile... XD
