I love that blade idea- having it not connected. I imagine seeing it in a game, and... *chef kiss*
Thanks! The blade basically instantaneously follows the hilt in all directions like a normal sword would, but it's also detachable and can be "thrown" or levitate further away from the hilt to cover more distance. The gap is hence both cosmetic for the alien feel to it all has functionality :)
