The size of the sculpture:

Height: 26 cm
Material:
Velvet clay, wire, doll eyes, acrylic paint, flock, synthetic grass.
Description:
Stone spirit of the forest.
Herbivore.
Habitats: Planes and forests, mostly with a warm climate.
Lifespan: up to 2000 years.
Description: It’s a large animal. Adults reach 5,5 m (18,05 ft) at the withers. Body color ranges from gray to brown, it depends on animal’s habitat. Creature’s body is covered with very hard skin which includes bony formations. They are presented by exserted spikes and crest plates along the spine.
The creature has 4 limbs – potent legs with 4 dactyls. It has two pairs of eyes. The location of the eyes allows it to look forward with all four eyes. The second pair of eyes can be used apart of the first one. Therefore this animal is able to see what’s happening both front and side of itself.
But that’s not what distinguishes it and awards with the title of spirit of the forest. Very young specimens have no plants on their body. Plants appear at the breeding age. For that purpose animals personally choose the tree with which they want to have the tight bond in the future. It cannot happen any day, it must be the young waxing moon exactly. This process for these animals acts as a ritual of moving into adulthood.
After the choosing of a tree the creature lies down under it and waiting until the seed falls between the large plates of his body. Beforehand this animal grows the fat pool to have the strength to wait. The ability to exercise patience is also the part of the ritual. Once the seed is planted, the creature literally feeds it by its own life energy.
The future tree grows into animal’s body with its roots, feeds on his juices and grows on the skin quite quickly, wrapping his host around from the outer side for better maintenance. From the inside roots don’t hinder the movements of the animal and don’t cause any discomfort. The tree will supply the creature through the sun energy later. This bond will become unbreakable and it’s due to it the lifespan of this species lasts a very long time.
This creature has the practice of deliberate dying. When the animal becomes too old and doesn’t want to keep on living, it overcomes the long way to the places where are the problems with flora. The animal lies down and falls asleep, never again waking up. With the lapse of time its body turns into a stone. The tree can live for a while after its host’s death, and a young new forest grows around it.
